Show number of unread messages

The 'show number of unread messages' feature stopped working for me after ilx came back up and though i have tried to check the box in my settings and clicked on 'save' it won't work. Anyone have an explanation for this?

It will come back once we can figure out a way of doing it efficiently. (It was pretty much the sole reason for ILX slowdown issues)
