Disappearing threads or dodgy seaches?

Hello,

I started a thread called (I believe) "Mike Mills", on ILE about a week ago. I tried searching for it using keywords and dates and such things, but it doesn't show up.

Was it deleted or is the search not working? Or am I...missing something?

Noodles explained this on another thread. Some disc is full so no backups are being done so there is no searching of new threads. Maybe you'd better offload your favorite new threads in cash they go the way of the famous Country vs Folk thread.

Workaround: search for the New Answers page as of, say 3 days ago, and see if your thread is there. I assume this is not really a search that is why it works.

Short version: Last couple of days are pretty much unsearchable. Give it time to settle like Jello.

Has anyone noticed that the Google search doesn't seem to be working any more either - and not just for new threads? Is that somehow related to this backup problem?

People claim it works if you change the domain to ilx.p3r.net, I think, but I don't believe it.
