Disappearing Posts?

Hi I think this is happening across all the threads but I noticed it first here:

There doesn't seem to be a link for "show missing posts" but the posts between 5 hours ago and 55-ish minutes ago keep disappearing as new posts are made.

Is this ILX or is something very weird happening at my end?

(Tried it with Firefox and IE, fyi. Same result.)

Noodle, that's quite possible (they aren't actually disappearing, but might be disappearing from view). I put in some stuff to try to only show the 'show hidden messages' thing if there were more than a given threshold value of posts that would be hidden (i.e. don't show 'show 1 hidden message', only do it when the first thing it does is 'show 50 hidden messages'). It seems likely it's that that isn't working quite correctly. I'll look when I have a chance.

I think that should work now, though it's not easy to test. Message display code is getting very complex. Please let me know if you see problems with it. Thanks.

Is it just me and the opera mini on my phone who can't reply to the Air France 447 thread? Submit only refreshes the thread. Replying to other threads, what I'm doing now, works ok.

Turned phone off and on, logged off and on, removed cookies, tried to get to the thread by searching and by the "show threads from two to three weeks ago", nothing. Submit reply = refresh.

Stan, sorry but I don't know what the problem is... Are you using the mobile interface or just the normal one?

The normal one - using Opera Mini, which I'm going to completely reinstall, something probably went wrong on my phone, have been having other mysterious symptoms lately. Sorry for not letting you know earlier. (but that particular revive isn't necessary anymore, they haven't found the black boxes after all)
