Broken Poll

It's this one. It looks fine to me, but two people complained that the poll options are broken. Maybe because I used album cover images instead of text next to the poll options? Sorry about that, BTW; I'm not tech-savvy at all.

Is there something that can be done about it? Thanks.

The only thing that can be edited in a poll is its title. You'll have to start over.

It might not be you, Daniel - are the two people admins of some sort? There is a bug here. I need to get that sorted.

Not sure; the two that mentioned it are Trayce ("FYI this poll's broken for images off ppl.") and Kate/Masonic Boom ("Poll is broken").

Others seem to be able to vote and see the poll, tho.

Yeah, it's the images off thing that's the issue. Kate is a mod of something and won't see images and Trayce has them turned off.

Can't wait to see how many votes Pat Buchanan gets in that poll.

keith is this the same bug you're talking about:
in this thread a poll tribute to the great unheralded cbse question papers of class xii mods could see the poll (which has images but not in the options) before it was closed. after it was closed we can't see it at all. i can't even tell there was a poll there. maybe this happened in other polls but this is just one i remember.

Link in poll text + image in poll text (not necessarily in poll options - in fact I think these are ok if there isn't an image in the main poll question) = poll is broken for images-off people and mod logins (including mods of other boards?)

Yes, I've figured it out - it's something like that, spacecadet.

It's because it's trying to remove image links - long and complicated story, but if you put a normal link, followed by some images (possibly in the poll options) followed by a normal link, it's recognizing this entire chunk, from start to finish as an image link and removing it.

I've made a change to the expression that spots image links that should stop this happening. Need to test it a bit and then I'll stick it up - it should sort this problem retrospectively, i.e. all the older broken polls should suddenly look OK, if I've fixed it correctly.
