Do I have to re-register now that I changed my fake e-mail address and had a random password sent to a non-existant e-mail address? Brilliant programming.

I think it's to protect against in case you left yourself logged in somewhere and someone else got into your settings and wanted to change stuff.

This is as good a spot as any to point out that gmail accounts are a dime a bajillion, so theres no reason to worry about despaminating, I mean look at my address ffs. It is real. And ironically, gets the least spam of all my email accounts!

No, see, on my settings page I changed the L in gmaiL to a numeral 1 (one) in gmai1 to despamify it, cuz i'm an idiot, and didn't put the correct address in the hidden box, cuz i'm an idiot... (i didn't read or realize it would reset my password). so presumably the reset password was sent to a nonexistant address. Sorry for the confusion.

i will reset the e-mail addy to gmail THIS ONE TIME, but really i don't know what more we could do to make this obvious. i thought about a javascript alert, but that's crossing a line we don't want to go over.

I didn't see the note because it's above the email boxes. That's no excuse, it's just how my brain seeks pertinent information - below or inline. The lizard/trog part of my brain would assume that the note pertains to my username, which I wasn't messing with, so I could skip it. I'm sure the note was moved to its present location because someone said they missed it because it was below and after the email boxes. Lose-lose! Woohoo! Again, my apologies.
