i think this is a bad idea. i don't need to identify myself as specifically GAY on every rolling thread on this board. it's just over-used and devoid of character, as a word. but i really don't care that much, so whatever.

It's not perfectly acceptable to me. Not in the least. But it's even less acceptable if people are going to have a coronary over it so I won't complain if "GAY" is taken away.

ok. it seems pretty clear that if you start a thread to change somebody else's thread title, you are going to invite opinions on the subject, whether or not you call it drama or "having a coronary"

and, yes, it just so happens that i am tired of "gay" being the only term we can come up with for ourselves as a blanket description.

and since it now seems like KJB is no longer so adamant about changing the title, maybe it could be changed back to what it originally was?
