Can the MIA thread be 'split'

Due to 'someone's complaining about it, can we split the MIA thread into a separate thread titled "M.I.A.", specifically at the point before the six year hiatus of posts? and then leave the original 14 posts in the original "MIA" thread? link is below

I haven't read it in many many months but I would endorse this heartily if it were possible

I'm going to bet that the best the mods'll be able to do is create a new thread specifically for the original M.I.A. and call it "M.I.A. (Substatic)" or something, then rename the hulking brute of a thread that everyone is complaining about "M.I.A. (the popular one)" or something.

Yeah the thread is way too long to bother deleting all the posts about the British MIA, but I could make a new thread for the German MIA if you want?

That would work. If possible could we move the existing German MIA posts to it? If not its alright...also guess we'd need to rename the existing one "M.I.A".
