Friends New Account Problems

Hi, I know someone who tried to set up an account but he said something went wrong with his username & PW and he said it wouldn't let him fix it - so no account. What does he need to do ?
I can pm a mod with his yahoo addy if you need that (dont want to post it here)

set up another account with a diff email address. And tell him not to try and register again with that email until his password arrives -- if you do that it locks it out permanently (bug).
