I see some of you cretins have decided that my ip links in with someone calling themselves "Nutty Nigel" and therefore it is me. Well quite frankly - go fecking rot in your own forum. And Googling my name with attached link? Mate - remove this or I will personally be calling the head board owner and reminding him of the demon case.

Ca_lum, Friday, 13 February 2004 18:00 (twenty-one years ago)

And for the record, I don't post on your forums anymore - I have no interest in doing so.

Cal-um, Friday, 13 February 2004 18:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Hi Nigel!

Stringent Stepper (Stringent), Friday, 13 February 2004 18:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Excuse me - but when have I ever been anything but honest with ILX? I used to post here in the best of humour, I asked people like Ned and RGB, "hey, if you're so bothered, if you find my humour unfunny - let's meet up, let's have a pint - chill out"... what do I get in response? This nonsense.

I have no interest in posting here, I have not done so for a long time now. I have always asked that, in accordance to ILX guidelines, personal details are not obtainable. I expect this to be respected.

Ca-lum, Friday, 13 February 2004 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

I especially don't want moronic ILXors coming to my rugby games - remove! (And note: please remove this post once read).

Cal-um, Friday, 13 February 2004 18:51 (twenty-one years ago)

so nutty!

zappi (joni), Friday, 13 February 2004 19:03 (twenty-one years ago)

im afraid that wont be possible

Stringent Stepper (Stringent), Friday, 13 February 2004 19:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Erm... may I remind you I DO have your webmasters home number and will, quite frankly, be prepared to call non stop until this is removed. It's your call mate.

Cal-um, Friday, 13 February 2004 19:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Not to mention all those idiots posting AS ME and as C-Man etc etc pretending to be me... this is all such bullshit. You lot are obsessed. Pay to see my live act if you're this into me.

Cal-um, Friday, 13 February 2004 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

'New' Look NME: Why Are The Reviews So Short?

Calum are you going to be in this movie? Is it really true???

movies, Friday, 13 February 2004 20:11 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh thank god. I found you. HOI HOI! Listen ILX we don't want the talent getting upset.

Have you had time to look over the contracts?

Jimmy the Sainted, Friday, 13 February 2004 20:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Who is the moderator on this board? Is this actually calum posting here?

Kingfish Beatbox Botox Funktion (Kingfish), Friday, 13 February 2004 21:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Who is the moderator on this board? Is this actually calum posting here?

Does it really matter, either way?

Ned Raggett (Ned), Friday, 13 February 2004 21:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I suppose not, Ned :-/

Pashmina (Pashmina), Friday, 13 February 2004 21:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes it is me, and I've asked nicely to have the post removed.

Considering that I accepted responsibility for the thread about Ned on mingers.com and agreed it should be removed I expect some fucking loser with too much time on their hands googling me to be repremanded and the link removed.

Ca-lum, Friday, 13 February 2004 23:18 (twenty-one years ago)

"some loser with too much time on his hands" actually is another person you falsely and libellously accused of harbouring ch|ld p0rn in his computer, as it happens, calum. (IE not j blount) Actually I think it was the first person you threw that one at.

"some of you cretins deciding my ip links with nutty nigel" actually nobody decided anything. Over the last couple of days, "nutty nigel" came in from 2 different ip ranges, and guess who was the poster in common on both those ranges? The same poster who has threatened violence etc in the past? That would be you, calum robert, what a suprise.

"you lot are obsessed" well, you have been, and continue to be a persistent nuisance here. What do you expect?

Unfortunately Calum, I am no longer a moderator at ILE, I dropped off the ILE mods list after your, what was it? The outburst before last? Or the one before that even? Whatever, somebody else will have to be nice enough to remove your real name, so that nobody irl can google your name and see the horrible shit you post to amuse yourself.

I'm off to bed now, goodnight everyone.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 14 February 2004 01:33 (twenty-one years ago)

This is funny. Threaten to call the police again nigel/calum, that was good! I'm looking forward to your film too, funny man

Stringent Stepper (Stringent), Saturday, 14 February 2004 11:05 (twenty-one years ago)

hey norman i sent you an email via ilx.

hope that is a real address.

norman you need the new rough trade single 'art brut' - formed a band/bad weekend - it is wire prog-punk - written five minutes after they 'formed a band'.

Jimmy the Saints, Saturday, 14 February 2004 11:49 (twenty-one years ago)

Founder and editor of the Firelight Shocks magazine, Calum Robert Waddell, whom many of you have met, has moved to the U.S. for a short while (he does intend to return home for 2004). and assumed a lot of new responsibilities. As a result, he will no longer be active with Firelight Shocks. He sent the following email to all of you.

" Well folks, I've left this web site and fanzine venture for good. . . . I simply do not have much time on my hands any more. You can now read my features and interviews in the excellent magazines "Shivers" and "The Dark Side" and, rest assured, I'm happiest writing for these great publications. With all this on my hands, and interviews to be conducted on a very frequent basis it's no longer feasible for me to continue with this.

Take Care and thanks to George for publishing our last two issues. Wish him well for the future,

Calum"

Rest assured that his absence will be missed as he provided much needed expertise and direction to the publication in the passed. We hope that he will contribute the occasional article or review on a freelance basis. Of course, we want to wish him every success with his writing and other endeavors.

Whether this means the end of Firelight Shocks, either as a website or publication has yet to be determined, but rest assured that if Firelight Shocks is discontinued, the void will be filled by another publication. We will keep you updated on that issue here.
George

An Apology.

To all the fans and supporters of Firelight Shocks, I want to extend a heartfelt apology. As many of you know, I am the founder and Director of the ShockerFest International Film and Video Festival/ During the last half of August and entire month of September, my time was taken totally with that effort, ensuring that it would be the success it was. As a result of there being only 24 hours in a day, and the lack of financial support for Firelight Shocks (other than my own) I was unable to keep the site updated with news and reviews as it should have been.

The fault for this failure lies at my doorstep and no one else's. The festival has ended, and once again, I am able to devote the time needed to update the site, and am, additionally, attempting to retain the services of a programmer and designer who will help in this process.

It make take a few days to get back on track, but we WILL be back in operation and current before the 1st of November and will remain current with your news items, and you screeners and reviews. Watch for the posting of new reviews within the next couple of days.

Again, my deepest apologies to you, the fans and supporters.

George

heh (blueski), Saturday, 14 February 2004 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Stevenm, you really are a snivelling little prick. How utterly pathetic.

I have your pictures chaps. You don't want to kick this off.

cal-um, Saturday, 14 February 2004 16:33 (twenty-one years ago)

David - do I really have to have someone call, on my behalf, about the use of personal info on this site? Or will the offending posts be removed? I don't want hassle, I simply think that you guys should stick to your own guidelines which means use of personal information is out of bounds. I do not approve, or appreciate, of people advertising or confusing me with other postees when it has been a very long length of time since I posted on ILX. Rest assured that if the posts should be removed you will continue to hear little from me in the future - not a bad little bargain I would say?

Peace guys.

Suffice to say, assuming that the posts are removed, this is all from me. I'm tired of this guy - and although I may continue the odd visit or post to I Love Film, I have no interest in a board that so flagrantly disregards privacy and is posted on by a bunch of people who spend their free time Googling and hunting out the information on other postees with the intention of hurting or abusing them and who confuse postees with other, more troublesome, people posting under assumed names.

Ca-lum, Saturday, 14 February 2004 16:40 (twenty-one years ago)

I would like this to kick off Nigel. I think its about time you put your money where your mouth is, i think people might think you a little less whiny if you actually did something instead of moaning the whole time like some yts trainee who cant get a job. Please, kick it off, we might have some respect for you then at least, perhaps you will even gain some self respect yourself

As to the above personal information, in both instances, nothing private is being posted, both sets of information are readily available on the web to anyone who wants to google for them. Removing them from here is not the same as removing them from the web.

Stringent Stepper (Stringent), Saturday, 14 February 2004 18:46 (twenty-one years ago)

What the fuck is going on????

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 14 February 2004 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

It's just calum bleating again, Dan.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:05 (twenty-one years ago)

You can search ilm and ile for postername "nutty nigel" (yes, I'm afraid that's exactly what it says) to see his latest games, and the above as well, of course.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:06 (twenty-one years ago)

BTW Dan, on a completely unrelated issue, can I suggest you check the thread "richard allen vs sven hassell" and de-goolify it?

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:09 (twenty-one years ago)

norman, you didnt ch-ch-choose me. : - (

ha ha!

OMIGOD IS THAT "THE" CALUM ROBERT WADDELL OF 'GET CALUM' FAME?

jimmy the sainted, Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:12 (twenty-one years ago)

calum, both my writer's name and my real name are all over this bitch. if i don't care. why the fuck should you?

jimmy the sainted, Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:13 (twenty-one years ago)

and i believe the demon case you keep on repeating involves a professional person - a doctor - who requested that the information be removed because it was damaging to his PROFESSIONAL reputation.

wtf?

WHAT DO YOU CALUM THAT NEEDS SUCH SERIOUSNESS. ha ha! nothing.

And nobody has said anything derogatory. They have just linked your name to google. Get a life, twat.

jimmy the sainted, Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:16 (twenty-one years ago)

That thread is de-googlified.

Calum, if there's information about you that you want edited out, it would be very helpful if you would provide a link to it.

Other ILX posters: Aren't you tired of this shit yet? For fuck's sake.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Let's sit down and read the case. What exactly do you do and has anyone comment on your profession so that it would constitute slander.

And let's pay close attention to section C.

Section 1(1) Defamation Act 1996 provides:-

"In defamation proceedings a person has a defence if he shows that:-

(a) he was not the author, editor or publisher of the statement complained of;

(b) he took reasonable care in relation to its publication; and

(c) he did not know, and had no reason to believe that what he did caused or contributed to the publication of a defamatory statement.

OWNED!

jimmy the sainted, Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:21 (twenty-one years ago)

now get yer bitch ass self off the internet and go and have a wank or something you dumb ass tit.

jimmy the sainted, Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:22 (twenty-one years ago)

the fact that you put ned raggett's picture on mingers.com and admitted same (ilxor.com has intent)- in the same post - where you 'cite' the demon case - shows that you are either stupuid or you never actually bothered to read the case.

jimmy the sainted, Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:24 (twenty-one years ago)

i.e. if you ACT like an asshole and someone says HEY YOUR AN ASSHOLE its not libel you friggin' moron.

jimmy the sainted, Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:26 (twenty-one years ago)

in fact, as much as i'm not fond of ned, he would have HAD MORE OF A CASE WHEN YOU PUT HIS PICTURE UP ON MINGERS.COM. fuck me. you are so dumb does it hurt sometimes?

jimmy the sainted, Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:29 (twenty-one years ago)

the links he's moaning about upthread are near the bottom of this:

posting on ILX under fake names

Sorry for responding as always Dan, but I've got to say, I do find his whole act incredibly offensive and very hard to ignore, and I don't think I'm the only one. Someone made a metaphor about a fly buzzing around a room, which I think is a good one. In this case, the pitch that the fly is buzzing at is impossible to tune out.

Pashmina (Pashmina), Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:36 (twenty-one years ago)

http://www.nacab.org.uk/

Calum Waddell - why don't you try here - you see, I worked at a National Legal for Advocacy for the Poor place and I was so fucking sick of stupuid dixxx like you phoning up and whinging upon some case and taking up the time of people who really needed it. Reading some 'law' and getting all inflamed. YOu are like the morons in psyche class who read the text and go OMIGOD THAT'S ME I'VE GOT THAT.

'Cause baby, I've got a feeling that you have no money to pay for the court case.

jimmy the sainted, Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:41 (twenty-one years ago)

to take this to trial will cost at least ten grand plus retainer. y'got that baby? no. oh well.

jimmy the sainted, Saturday, 14 February 2004 19:48 (twenty-one years ago)

i don't get how what i did was wrong. copying and pasting something you found by Googling people (a wonderful pastime that should be encouraged not condemned) doesn't even take that long but at least by doing so it gives people here a chance to see Mr Waddell in a somewhat different light. i think a lot of people already knew about that website anyway. at least it proves he really did go to America so he really does know what he's talking about when he slags off Americans eh? phew

by participating on a public forum you effectively waiver certain 'privacy' rights inevitably. why would you object to the re-publication of material easily accessible elsewhere on the internet anyway when it is not libellous or untruthful even outside it's intended context?

stevem (blueski), Saturday, 14 February 2004 20:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Calum can't do anything to you. ILE has a policy that says posters can request personal info about them be removed from the forum if they so desire.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Saturday, 14 February 2004 23:32 (twenty-one years ago)

Complaining about people posting his real name and threatening to sue over it, and then posting what he did about our domain name owner is typical stupidity. I can't be bothered seeking this stuff out to delete it unless I am given specific links to messages.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Sunday, 15 February 2004 01:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Agreed, which is why I didn't do anything until someone provided me with a link.

Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Sunday, 15 February 2004 17:50 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not Calum... just for the record.
