I'm part of the problem in that I really want her to be sane + to respond sanely to what people say to her, but she isn't and she can't, and the ex-mental-health-care person in me knows that she's making herself crazier/working herself into a real lather by being on IXL. she'll be doing it anyway elsewhere (vide her copying and pasting the exact same "industry is a scam" post to almost 400 youtube videos) but idk I just think it's bad for her to be here but she can't help herself.

i wonder if we could get everyone to agree to stop fucking with her.

a ban might be 'bad' in this context too, idk

I'm stopping, I should know better than to engage her in the first place but then there's the and what side of me that says "she is an adult and not actually stupid and dealing with the consequences of your behavior is part of being an adult" but I don't know she goes from this is funny to ok wait this is just sad in this super-quick move.

No, not lol at all. I don't if it's even possible to communicate with her in a normal way so I don't even try anymore, it's like there's a script that spits out the same thoughts and sentences in a random order over and over again (but sometimes there's glimmer of real person in between as well) - it's just too confusing. I don't want to be responsible for any further descent into I don't even know where it is she's going, but I don't know how to help her out of it either - I'm not clicking on the thread anymore, for a start.

eh idk, i dont think anybody is really going after her, i mean i made some odd jokes about cars and there have been a couple other random comments, but it seems like she is a bit of a self-looping engine all set off by the (uh accurate btw) comments H2 made about her kinda not on pitch singing - and i think its prob something she is doing in like 40 different places right now, so the fact that peeps here are just kinda calmly rolling with it instead of launching into full troll abuse is prob better than banhammer?

I'm conflicted: I've always got on pretty well with her. She's been off ILX for a long time, so it's good (in a way) that she's still 'alive' and not locked up someplace..

I can't say 'she seems OK' as obviously a lot of the same old issues are there, and a bunch of new ones too.

I'd say "There's nothing wrong in her putting lots of youtube links on one thread"

and "She's keeping it to one thread"..

I'd councel "please don't wind her up: the likening a bowl of shit with one of her songs was uncalled for and surely was only done to lol at her reaction"

She always did remind me of a badly programmed chatterbot, actually, but she does seem to exist.

admit I was pasting her into cleverbot at work last week.

She posted her cellphone number here, and some ILXors were daft enough to ring her.

My comments about the pitch were clearly a mistake, but they were well-intentioned, if naively so. I really was listening to those songs thinking "damnit, this is actually a good melody and I wish it were in key" -- I mean I went very easy on her, that shit is WAY out of tune. And I was trying to suggest how she could hear herself better while recording.

Ten years ago, "paranoid brunette singer/songwriter who enjoys prog" would probably be how I would have described my ideal woman. Glad that I've gained some life experience.

unf, my Dad is a Schizophrenic and at 55, his typing/online communication is a little stunted; she gives me the same vibe. Too much bad acid in the 70s imo :(

We've let it come this far, I say we ride it out - looks like the next big abandonment/reincarnation is coming up any day now (since we won't be able to do what she demands - we don't control the google archive of encyclopedia dramatica's page about her, nor can we delete articles from SF Weekly that have been online for years).

It still feels like we're guinea pigs in a weird social psychology experiment, but maybe that's her paranoia rubbing off or something.
