--- NOMINATIONS THREAD for ILM's Alltime Best Metal/Heavy Rock Albums Poll---. - Nominations end 11.59pm UK Time July 16th

Ok, so I asked or hinted about this once and was sort of laughed off (I don't remember by who), but there's an aspect of some ballot poll threads that has really impeded search functionality. On this particular thread, the poll-starter updated the nominations list 30 times. So, two years later, if I want to search for something that was nominated early on in the process, the search results include several pages of extremely long lists.

Now, ilx is going to have lists on it. It's a huge part of what we do here. And not every ballot poll nominations thread is updated a whole ton of times. But I was wondering if there would be any way to edit these posts (except maybe the FINAL one) to some simple, pithy mod phrase.

I understand this would be a pain in someone's ass, but this bugs me every time I try to search for meaningful posts about metal albums. Anyway, just floating the idea.

I don't understand what, specifically, you're asking to be done.

Seems difficult to really sort the root cause - I for one would have been tempted to add in ZZ Top's Deguello, purely because of Cheap Sunglasses. This would have made me forget about the proper mod job.
