possible to edit your own posts?

is it possible to edit or delete your own posts?
im a longtime lurker and got home really drunk/stoned/whatever last night and decided to crawl out of lurkerdom, but now i have the forum version of buyers remorse, posting remorse, haha. so could someone delete the first post i made? this one: Boyd Rice Intrigues Me

i don't remember why i thought it was funny to post a drunk rant i found on my computer from some years ago (and i know it's still anonymous, but still) it is really mostly quite silly and to be honest, embarassing, so if someone could delete it, that would light up my remorseful heart.

as an other question here that i might as well ask, why is there no possibility to delete/edit your own posts? or change your email address and stuff like that? i think this very much is a reason for wanting to stay a lurker in the first place...(still if someone would be so friendly to take that post down, that would be nice, mostly cause it reveals personal details about my self that would keep me from posting more here)

being forced to live with the drunken cobblers you post is one of the initiation rituals iirc

a mod will probably edit it for you in due course but sometimes it takes time for the mods to respond

can't edit your posts because you could just go back and change your opinions after you realised that prometheus was really actually amazing
