webmail/private address link

hey kind mods

on this thread i suggested emsk contact me using my webmail/private address link. it didn't let her; i just tried it myself and got a fairly curt "cannot send to private address" message.

i've checked me settings and the address is valid. is the whole webmail functionality knacked, or wot?

huh, I can't get the search to work but I think I do remember Alan saying something about webmail being broken. Or maybe it was the sendmail function on the server, which only Andrew can look into? Not very helpful I know but I wanted to give you the info I've got. :/

thanks teeny. it's not even worth a 1 on the problem scale, so i'm not going to worry about it.

turns out there was a silly bug in the webtomail code. you should find that's working ok now (for reg'd users only of course)

(though there are still complaints that some mail is not getting from the ilx server to certain addresses, and i don't know why, or have the power to check up on it)
