This has happened a few times, where we have old school ilxors who signed up a decade or so ago but when I try to ilxmail them in 2018 they never receive it because they don't check that email address anymore.

From what I understand, its more trouble than its worth to try to do that. According to one post I read, you risk losing your login just through technical snafus. Much easier to just re-register under a new name.
