This game is sooooooo fun... for a few minutes, at least. My interest wanes rather quickly but bloody hell is it a great idea executed well!

Yep, fun for a few. It could be improved by adding a Tetris style "next" window in the corner, though. It sucks to get transformed into the Space Invaders guy when you have enemies below or to the side.

Space Invaders ship sucks, and the Space Invaders enemies can often be the hardest, esp when they speed up. Worth playing through to the end credits, which doesn't take very long.

Half the skill is holing up somewhere safe when the changes happen should you end up as a useless character next screen.

I love this game. I played it an unreasonable amount.

The end is great too.

I really like this one. Sure it doesn't last that long, but I doubt it's meant to. I was really impressed by it since, compared to a million flash/homebrew games that are content with just ripping sprites and making weak clones, the creators actually did bother to replicate all these various games' gameplay rules, controls and hit detection while mashing them up.

This is also a lot friendlier with the "subvert old 2D sprite games" theme compared to the other games in this list.

(They even use the MAME icon! Ha.)
