Deadenders

I've just finished reading this series and I found it amazingly good. It gets a little rushed in the final issues and the ending is kind of packed (probably Brubaker had more issues in mind when the cancellation came down and had to wrap the story in the issues that had left) but asides from that is great. The characters are all very developed and the dialogue is ace.
Another thing that I liked was, strangely, Pleece's art. I had seen it only in the Hellblazer issues with Jenkins and I thought it was more or less like a Sean Phillips clone. But here is really good, evoking Allred and even the Hernandez brothers at times. I suppose some of the credit should go to Cameron Stewart, who starts inking around issue 8 (where the art gets really good).
Anyway, a good read and I wanted to know if any of you has read it and if Brubaker has written anything similar. And recommend it, too.

Yeah, I loved it when it was coming out:

Help me buy some Ed Brubaker.

I liked Deadenders... but my gf thought the characters in it were all a bit stupid. I agree that the ending was a bit rushed, obv., and didn't really think much of their explanation for why the world was so fucked up.
