After the Dix-1 Offensive story I harboured the fantasy that the story was set in an alternate universe where the American Civil War never ended. I mean come on, you never saw any Black Southerners, did you?

The Volgs (Invasion 1999, ABC Warriors and tangentially Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog and Ro-Busters) always struck me as Soviets.

The Norts (Rogue Trooper) always seemed fairly Nazi-esque to me (and Commando style Nazis at that)
