Portugal holds some amusing quirks, tho not many - one of my faves is that both the silver age Flash and Wally West have both gone untranslated, but for some reason the golden age Flash is called "Joel Tempestade". Also, Daredevil is "O Demolidor" (The Demolisher!)
In Sweden, Batman is called Leder Lappen, or something to that effect. It basically means "leather rag". Clearly the swedes are not impressed by his costume.

There's a country (Spain or Portugal I believe) where The Flash is Flush Man.

It's not called like that anymore, btw. But they did use that ridiculous name in the early nineties.
Batman's Batman, Superman's Superman, the X-Men are the X-Men. But Blue Beetle is called "Bicho Azul" and Booster Gold's "Astro Dorado". And don't even get me started with mexican editions from before I was born! Bruce Wayne is Bruno Díaz, Barry Allen was Bruno Alba, and Dick Grayson was Ricardo Tapia.

And reading back, I see the question is about Argentina, not Brazil. Never mind...

Daniel OTM. It's also used to describe very very ugly people (like, "Mark E. Smith es un bicho")

Most of the Finnish translations are pretty faithful, though for some reason some superheroes' names (Storm, Wolverine, Daredevil, etc.) are left untranslated - probably because the exact Finnish translations would sound a bit goofy. "X-Men" is replaced with the more gender-neutral name "Ryhmä-X" ("Team-X"), probably because you can't refer to women as "men" in Finnish without sounding goofy ("men" can't be used as a synonym for "humans" either - it's just men).
