COMING IN 2006!

ESSENTIAL GODZILLA VOL. 1 TPB
Written by DOUG MOENCH
Penciled by HERB TRIMPE, JIM MOONEY & TOM SUTTON
Cover by HERB TRIMPE

"You have your fear, which might become reality. And you have Godzilla, which IS reality." - From Godzilla, King of the Monsters (1956)

And what a reality it was! For two years, Japan's greatest export was one of Marvel's biggest stars, and the King of the Monsters upheld his title against some of the best and worst the House of Ideas had to offer - including the Fantastic Four, the Avengers, and Nick Fury and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.! Godzilla shrinks, goes West, travels through time and hosts one of Spider-Man's most gratuitous guest-shots ever! Plus: aliens, mutants, mad Scientists and almost a dozen MORE giant monsters! It's so big, you can't miss it! Collects GODZILLA #1-24.

432 PGS./T+ SUGGESTED FOR TEENS AND UP ...$19.99

Marvel read your mind!

What is up with the Marvel Solicits? It's "True Believer" this, "True Believer" that. Does Joe Q write them himself?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 19:30 (twenty years ago)

They're old skool, Huk.

I'll probably have to get this. Rumor is they've got rights to do one printing, much like the CONAN essentials (which I wish I could get my hands on.) Wonder if it'll feature the SHOGUN WARRIORS tie-in issue(s)?

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 19:41 (twenty years ago)

OMG. I think I may still have most of these. L'il G was the bomb.

Godzilla's path through the Marvel Universe

Did the series end b/c Marvel lost the license? I seem to recall that's what happened to Shogun Warriors?
