Is anyone reading Gotham County Line? I didn't feel like giving the first issue a shot because it was like five or six bucks.

I might pick up some of the things tied into The Other: Evolve Or Die as well as I quite enjoyed the MK: Spidey issue last week, but if this turns into SpideyAIDS I will hunt you down and rape your dead mouth, Peter David.

Also, in defense of Bendis, "no more mutants" is a stronger line than "no more mutants besides the 200 or so we've got kicking around the Marvel Uni already, and the chockfull that'll spring up once this retcon is retconned."

I liked it all right. Nothing special, usual "Prestige" x-tra violent (read: "mature and edgy") Batman stuff. I'll buy the rest of them. It's no Gotham Central, which I've just (!) gotten into.

the early issues of Jonah Hex were written by John Albano rather than the gothickly inspired Michael Fleischer, so they're not quite as 'cutting edge' as they might be - just good solid western stories feat Tony DeZuniga's best artwork - a much more satisfying read than Metamorpho or Green Lantern, imho

676 Apparitions Of KillofferOne of the most acclaimed European graphic albums of the past few years, Killoffer's sprawling and violent epic is now available for the first time to an English-speaking audience. A journey from Paris to Montreal takes on Dantesque proportions, as Killoffer is besieged by six hundred and seventy-six apparitions of his own self. Multiple Killoffers rampage across the pages, fighting, drinking and committing all manner of atrocities, on a jaw-dropping spree that spills over with horror and dark humor. The French edition of this book was shortlisted for Best Graphic Novel at Angouleme in 2003, and this new English edition, presented in the same large format and relettered by the artist, confirms Killoffer as one of the finest artists to have emerged from Europe in the last decade.
