aka "the mega-event that'll shake Spidey to his core & force aldo cowpat to withdraw his rape dollars from the bank".

Spidey IS SICK! But WITH WHAT?!? And Morlun is DOGGING HIM LIKE A FART! But WHY WON'T HE FIGHT SPIDEY!?! And will Aunt May & Jarvis GET IT ON!?!?

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 17:00 (nineteen years ago)

Follows Spider-Man: THIS and Spider-Man: THAT.

I read the first 3 parts of this - one good creepy scene (where Tracer chats to Aunt May), but otherwise this reminded me pretty closely of all the old mysterioso mid-90s wank with Judas Traveller etc. Poor.

Tom (Groke), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 17:07 (nineteen years ago)

Good things about it :

a) The bad guy is called Tracer (Hello Tracer Hand)

er

b) The plot is clearly that Spidey has super-leukemia and will need a blood transfusion. But who from. Oh yes, Teh Other Spider-Mang: Ben Reilly.

Pete (Pete), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 17:09 (nineteen years ago)

FWIW: I am happy Peter David & Mike Wieringo are on a Spidey book, even if they're momentarily hamstrung by editorial dictates. And I am happy that someone besides Pat Lee is inking Pat Lee. But I'm not too jazzed about this entire enterprise. (See Tom: THE PREVIOUS POST - Dastardly Daver)

Of course, I haven't really been happy w/ 616 Spidey (that's the "real" Spidey) since the Avengers disassembled. The Millar arc was hamfisted colon blow, JMS managed to amp up all the bad soap-operatics in the Spidey story, and Paul Jenkins (aside from a few one-off issues) totally lost his Spidey sense. The best stuff from Spidey (aside from BMB's treatment of him in New Avengers) was the Reggie Hudlin SuperManSkrull arc in the MK title (by default), and the few moments Robert Kirkman monkeyed w/ him in Marvel Team-Up.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 17:09 (nineteen years ago)

Best RECENT stuff, that is, & that Skrull thing would be a meh-light if the other books weren't dogging it.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 17:11 (nineteen years ago)

from the title I was hoping it would be spiderman vs lacanian post structuralists - plz let me know if this ever comes to pass

Mark C (Markco), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 17:12 (nineteen years ago)

I think Tracer was actually the villain PD wanted to use in his initial Spidey arc, but because THE OTHER had to be accomodated as well, PD just snuck him into the story he had to tell. Which matters not one damn bit.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 17:20 (nineteen years ago)

That factoid doesn't matter, that is, tho maybe THE OTHER won't matter come March.

Maybe Spidey's gonna give birth to mini-spiders! That'd be wicked!

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 17:21 (nineteen years ago)

"petit objet a" wd be a grebt supervillain

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 18:10 (nineteen years ago)

he is the scarlet pimpernel of psychological microvillainy

mark s (mark s), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 18:11 (nineteen years ago)

I can't believe the whole four-part story is WHAT DOES SPIDEY HAVE WHAT WHAT WHAT IS HIS MYSTERY ILLNESS????

SPOLIER it's an ingrowing toenail.

Vic Fluro (Vic Fluro), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 18:28 (nineteen years ago)

The best recent Spidey was Spider-Man/Human Torch.

Call me when this crap stops and Peter David just starts telling stories.

The Yellow Kid, Tuesday, 1 November 2005 20:10 (nineteen years ago)

Ptee cough up your source RIGHT NOW!

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 20:52 (nineteen years ago)

Good work Marvel.

Tom (Groke), Tuesday, 1 November 2005 22:04 (nineteen years ago)

Tracer Hand is the villain?! Sign me up.

So so Krispie (Ex Leon), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 01:58 (nineteen years ago)

"Hmmm, lets see, what was the biggest mistake we ever made with Spiderman, what alienated and angered fans the most over 35 years...? The Black Costume? Nah. Aunt May dying? Nah. I know - we'll bring back Ben Reilly! They'll love that!"

As long as he dies and is never ever mentioned again, then fine.

David N (David N.), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 02:00 (nineteen years ago)

I just wish he still had his Scarlet Spidey hoodie. Everybody loved that.

Suedey (John Cei Douglas), Wednesday, 2 November 2005 17:10 (nineteen years ago)

David R. (popshots75`), Saturday, 12 November 2005 20:07 (nineteen years ago)

I dunno... 'cellular degeneration' eh-h-h? Sounds like a particularly clonetastic disease to me.

Vic Fluro (Vic Fluro), Saturday, 12 November 2005 23:53 (nineteen years ago)

Are Marvel and DC actively trying to wreck their comics now?

Matthew C Perpetua (inca), Sunday, 13 November 2005 06:11 (nineteen years ago)

As far as I'm concerned, the paper-bag-head costume would be a step in the right direction!

David R. (popshots75`), Sunday, 13 November 2005 07:29 (nineteen years ago)

You would think with everything knocking around in the Baxter building that ver torch could do better than a paper bag.

Or indeed tha Parker could have, just, you know, walked home.

I will not cough up my source - ahem.

Pete (Pete), Monday, 14 November 2005 10:20 (nineteen years ago)

I think the situation was: he lost his clothes, his suit was ruined, he went to the FF for help, and Johnny had a goof @ his expense. Including putting a KICK ME sign on the back of the uni.

Speaking of costumes:

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #529

Written by J. MICHAEL STRACZYNSKI
Pencils & Cover by RON GARNEY

Clothes make the man. At least that's what Tony Stark seems to think. Transformed by his experiences during "The Other" saga, Peter Parker stands poised for the next chapter of his life. And to mark the occasion, Tony has got a very special present: a new Spider-Man costume that's certain to raise eyebrows!

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 17 November 2005 17:39 (nineteen years ago)

Crotchless Spiderman!

Vic Fluro (Vic Fluro), Thursday, 17 November 2005 19:43 (nineteen years ago)

OK, I quit.

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 17 November 2005 20:31 (nineteen years ago)

I wonder what 'experience' Spider-man will be 'transformed' by. A BIT OF THE OTHER perhaps.

Surely time for the return of SKIP aka the Spider Molester.

Vic Fluro (Vic Fluro), Thursday, 17 November 2005 22:22 (nineteen years ago)

SPIDEY LOST HIS EYE

IT WAS EATEN BY A VAMPIRE

WHO THEN PROCEEDED TO BEAT THE SH*T OUT OF HIM

WHAT THE HELL!?!?!?

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 01:38 (nineteen years ago)

WTF is up w/ stealing plot points from A Christmas Story?!?!?!?

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 01:44 (nineteen years ago)

I bet this thread has more intentional entertainment than the whole of THE OTHER put together.

Just a guess, mind you.

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 05:51 (nineteen years ago)

The whole story is SPOILERED massively by adverts for the next few chapters. Now we know Spidey webs himself up in a coccoon and evolves into Nu-Spidey. Presumably with a new eye. At least, that's what the covers are telling me.

Vic Fluro (Vic Fluro), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 12:17 (nineteen years ago)

Ha ha ha ha!

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 15:13 (nineteen years ago)

hello, spiders don't coccoon and metamorphose. it sounds like someone wishes they were writing "butterfly man"

Mark C (Markco), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 15:19 (nineteen years ago)

The first 3 chapters were OK. The last 3 were WTF? Spidey getting about 28 2nd opinions from every ding dong scientist / pseudo-doctor? Aunt May & MJ borrowing old Iron Man suits to help Spidey-o break into Doom's castle to use his time machine? MJ & Spidey visiting da moon? THE STUPID WTF EYE THING? WTF?

I am so disenfranchised.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 15:20 (nineteen years ago)

OH NO SPIDEY EGGS!

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 15:20 (nineteen years ago)

I am so buying the trade on this one (or more likely, d/ling the cbrs).

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 15:28 (nineteen years ago)

Spidey is so much better away from his own titles - Bendis hearts him, Slott hearts him, BKV hearts him. Again I ask: WTF?

Huk, unless this thing pulls up sometime in the next 2 chapters, CBR is the way to go.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 15:29 (nineteen years ago)

The whole story is SPOILERED massively by adverts for the next few chapters. Now we know Spidey webs himself up in a coccoon and evolves into Nu-Spidey. Presumably with a new eye. At least, that's what the covers are telling me.

What? Is this true? Cause this happened like two whole years ago in Spectacular during the Avengers Disassembled thing. Organic web-shooters anyone? Super Spider-Sense? Ect? MORE PLEASE

Occam, Tuesday, 29 November 2005 16:14 (nineteen years ago)

The covers don't necessarily show Spidey doing the cocoon thing again. They do show him standing amongst a bunch of webs, tho, looking Spiderific (and with two eyeballs), unless these are DECOYS!

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 16:16 (nineteen years ago)

It's like they won't give a regular Spider-Man title to anybody like, good, cause they know that they will sell regardless.

Occam, Tuesday, 29 November 2005 16:20 (nineteen years ago)

This sounds like one of those "fun" comics.

1986 (Leee), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 19:02 (nineteen years ago)

This will be talked about in ten years the same way that the Clone Saga is talked about today.

No brainer, but I had to make the call.

SPIDEY/HUMAN TORCH from earlier this year is the only recent Spidey book you need.

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 19:04 (nineteen years ago)

And probably the Spidey issue of She-Hulk.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 19:16 (nineteen years ago)

Definitely the Spidey issue of She-Hulk! Also, I'm thinking the Marvel Adventures version of Spidey (written by Sean McKeever) would be a fun read, too.

I hold out hope that Peter David & the JMS that doesn't suck will right the wrongs this one-eyed Spidey w/ a case of the Mondays will bring to the shelves.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 19:19 (nineteen years ago)

The Marvel Adventures stuff by McKeever is really good.

Occam, Tuesday, 29 November 2005 20:01 (nineteen years ago)

Apparently I need to re-watch A Christmas Story.

The Yellow Kid, Tuesday, 29 November 2005 21:50 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah, the part with the vampire is really short - you gotta pay close attention. I think it happens right before the lamp arrives.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 29 November 2005 22:09 (nineteen years ago)

one month passes...
What's happening with this? I haven't read any of it yet, but have been reading the handful of trades the library has, to catch myself up with Spidey and co.

Is it concluding well? A good idea stretched two thin across 12 issues? What are the major changes being made to the character?

scamperingalpaca (Chris Hill), Thursday, 12 January 2006 21:01 (nineteen years ago)

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:

The Peter David issues:
- Spidey meets up w/ new villain Tracer
- Morlun stalks Spidey
- Spidey is diagnosed w/ FATAL DISEASE SHIZZ OH NOES

The Reginald Hudlin issues:
- Spidey gets about 17 different opinions; PROGNOSIS NEGATIVE
- Dr. Strange pigpiles on the poor schulb, tells him the FATAL DISEASE is magickal in nature OH NOES
- Spidey travels to Latveria w/ MJ & Aunt May (in Iron Man suits!) to travel back in time to visit his parents

The JMS issues:
- Morlun beats the living shit out of Spidey
- Morlun eats Spidey's left eye OH NOES (tastes like turkey)
- Spidey goes into shittay coma, but Morlun comes back for seconds
- Comatose Spidey snaps to when MJ is attacked, sprouts these stalk things (stingers?) from his wrists, beats Morlun up a tad, then dies OH NOES
- everyone weeps & shit like no superhero has every died before oh no he is gone forever
- Spidey hatches from his Peter Parket "shell", absconds to some damp dark area beneath a bridge, spins a web cocoon FOR THE REBIRTH
- Inside the cocoon, Spidey has a Spirit Journey where he talks to someone about being the Man or being the Spider or some metaphysical garbage
- NAKED PETER PARKER EMERGES FROM THE COCOON HOTTNESS
- about 1853 characters mention that ONCE IN A LIFETIME spiders shed their skin (so you know this isn't some straight up thoughtless "let's fuck shit up for shit's sake" garbage - they did research!)
- Spidey takes back the wedding band from his former husk, with the Man / Spider question hanging over his head like a big infected loogie

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 12 January 2006 21:23 (nineteen years ago)

If I mistakenly attributed the eye-eating part to JMS, I apologize, but it doesn't mitigate the WGASness* of the entire venture.

I hope Slott responds in She-Hulk by giving Starfox VD.

* WGAS = Who Gives A Shit?

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 12 January 2006 21:26 (nineteen years ago)

And, yeah, this thread IS the best thing about this whole fuckfest, tho I liked the David issues.

Yeah, let's not talk about that either, lest I really sound like a stuck-in-the-mud twerp.

David R. (popshots75`), Thursday, 12 January 2006 23:39 (nineteen years ago)

I was wondering when somebody would post that, just so I could say meh.

Umm... THE OTHER has been OK but the writers don't appear to have talked to each other much. The best single issue was probably the Reggie Hudlin time travel one, but it appeared unrelated to all the rest.

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Friday, 13 January 2006 09:28 (nineteen years ago)

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA
they stoleded that Spider-Husk business from Zeven Zoldiers!

Does Marvel have a standing policy that every five yrs or so they have to do something really embarrassingly shitty to Spider-Man, if for no better reason than it will prompt DC to do some really embarrassingly shitty to SuperBatWodnerwoMan?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Friday, 13 January 2006 15:19 (nineteen years ago)

OMG did you seriously like the Hudlin time travel one? I thought that was the worst. Not only painfully mawkish, but with a ridiculous premise to get them there.

Also, I think the new costume is sort of ok. It's not that different from the black and white one, really. It sounds like it's meant to be temporary anyways (till CIVIL WAR hits).

Occam, Friday, 13 January 2006 17:38 (nineteen years ago)

Wow - thanks for the informative update.

scamperingalpaca (Chris Hill), Friday, 13 January 2006 18:14 (nineteen years ago)

Not only painfully mawkish, but with a ridiculous premise to get them there.

You mean this isn't the whole point of spider titles?

FIGHTNIG WORDS THOSE BE

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 13 January 2006 18:35 (nineteen years ago)

Well I know when I'm beat.

Occam, Friday, 13 January 2006 18:36 (nineteen years ago)

That's a nifty-looking action figure. What they really need is LOTS of new costumes, and then Spidey having to fight underwater or on the moon and getting his special Action Man costume for the task. I always thought the Spider-Armour was quite a fun concept, like the Spidermobile, although I didn't see the issues which had it in - allegedly they're dreadful.

Vic Fluro (Vic Fluro), Friday, 13 January 2006 18:49 (nineteen years ago)

Oh, yeah, they're bad. The armor was made from some super-advanced WEB FLUID.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 13 January 2006 18:55 (nineteen years ago)

That the armor was made of WEB FLUID doesn't make the issues bad in & of itself. The includsion of a Spawn-wannabe & other shenanigans, however, most definitely does.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 13 January 2006 18:56 (nineteen years ago)

So wait, basically Spiderman jizzed all over himself and then called it armor????

Dan (Fuck You, Comics) Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 13 January 2006 18:58 (nineteen years ago)

Like you've never done that before.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Friday, 13 January 2006 19:04 (nineteen years ago)

Well, this was back before his webs were wrist-jizz.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 13 January 2006 19:06 (nineteen years ago)

OHHHH, okay.

Dan (Like That Makes It Better????) Perry (Dan Perry), Friday, 13 January 2006 19:08 (nineteen years ago)

Um, maybe?

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 13 January 2006 19:12 (nineteen years ago)

I'm envisioning a "Spider-Man Walk Of Shame" thread, but I phear it'll be taken up w/:

1) Ben Reilly
2) Armor Jizz
3) Spider-Eye In A Blanket

...which we've covered @ length.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 13 January 2006 19:21 (nineteen years ago)

Read the "Spider-Man and Black Cat" first collection yesterday, and the nostalgia love took a minor blow.

Pre-marriage to MJ, Peter hooks up with a blonde (named Dawn Starr, iirc - groan), who turns out to be only interested in romancing the teacher for a grade. When Spider-Man catches her rifling Parker's office files for a test, he not only calls her by name ("How'd you know...?") but says "Is that all you were interested in Parker for!?!" No wonder Bendis keys on revealing the secret identity so often in Ultimate Spider-Man.

And a late argh for "two thin" in the initial revive question.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Wednesday, 18 January 2006 18:51 (nineteen years ago)

Maybe we'll get a KRAVEN: THE LAST HUNT moment where Spidey jumps into the swarm/spiderspirit/whatever and eats a bunch of 'em or something. That would be kewl.

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Wednesday, 18 January 2006 19:36 (nineteen years ago)

Spider-Man : Fear Factor!

scamperingalpaca (Chris Hill), Wednesday, 18 January 2006 21:06 (nineteen years ago)

OK, so now he's got stingers. And heightened Spidey-Sense. Wheeeeeeee.

And, in keeping w/ the metaphysical nonsense portion of this enterprise, Spidey's embrace of the Spider (as opposed to the Man - no homo sapien) lead to a group of spiders EATING HIS SKIN??!?! (or something) and absconding to some church where "The Other" is pulling the cocoon trick, which will undoubtedly be addressed in THE FINAL CHAPTER.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 20 January 2006 15:13 (nineteen years ago)

Gawd, this just sounds sillier and sillier. Please keep reading 'em so I don't have to, David.

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Friday, 20 January 2006 17:00 (nineteen years ago)

This is sounding more and more like Charlotte's Web every day.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Friday, 20 January 2006 17:44 (nineteen years ago)

The funny part - those 2 chapters I just summarized were actually OK, at least in relation to the rest of the hoohah. Peter David is definitely earning some hazard pay for his work. And if there were a talking pig involved in this mess, I'd be stoked.

I guess the Marvel Knights title is being retitled to SENSATIONAL SPIDER-MAN, & the new creative team will be Robert Aguirre-Sacasa (sic) & Angel Medina. The preview I saw online of the new team in action tells me I'll have an extra $3 to spend a month - HOTT.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 20 January 2006 18:02 (nineteen years ago)

I will be spending that extra $3 on THE BATTLE FOR BLUDHAVEN, btw.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 20 January 2006 19:53 (nineteen years ago)

I can't read "Bludhaven" without picturing Liefeld physiques.

scamperingalpaca (Chris Hill), Friday, 20 January 2006 20:04 (nineteen years ago)

Aguirre-Sacasa's (sic) story in the latest AMAZING FANTASY made me want to punch a hole through the comic book in question. It was literally eight pages of moping in a high school cafeteria. It was beyond emo.

It touched me to my core. And what it found there was RAGE.

DESTROY.

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Friday, 20 January 2006 20:09 (nineteen years ago)

Oh GOD that's right - that was pretty limp. Tho the Daniel Way story inspired more WTF DESTROY feelings in me than the RAS one.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 20 January 2006 20:14 (nineteen years ago)

Wow Spidey is so HARDCORE that if somebody taps him on the shoulder he does a karate move on their motherfuckin' asses! WOW. And he gots WOLVERINE CLAWS!! And he fights people made out of spiders! Again. Who spout yawnsome exposition in spiritualist-speak! Making them so different from the guy made out of spiders who spouted exposition in ordinary human-speak!!

What's that you say? Gangsters are robbing the bank? That's a job for some other hero, my friend, because THE SPIRITUAL SPIDER-MAN has more important things to do like have long chats with his INNER SPIDER to worry about silly gangsters robbing a bank. NEXT ISSUE: EMO!

Vic Incognito (Vic Fluro), Saturday, 21 January 2006 00:12 (nineteen years ago)

four weeks pass...
Aguirre-Sacasa's first issue (which I bought inadvertently) wasn't bad, aside from a debilitating case of captionitis. Guy likes his canon, though - John Jameson (in non-Shulkie "OMG I'M A WEREWOLF" mode) gets dissed by MJ, and The Lizard pops up. And MJ picks up a knife she doesn't remember picking up!

I think, right now, PAD's the only one really dealing with what this OTHER crap did - seems like THE OTHER is now a nurse in Ptee's school! Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is just writing enjoyable Spidey yarns a la Stern & Defalco (tho not as good) that politely acknowledge the shit that hit the fan, & JMS is writing the All-Important Universe-Punching No-Go-Status-Quo stories that are too busy giving Tony Stark facetime to bother with Ptee's nu-spikes.

David R. (popshots75`), Monday, 8 January 2007 22:58 (eighteen years ago)

Can I waste David's time some more someone summarise THE OTHER for me, please?

Tom (Groke), Monday, 8 January 2007 23:04 (eighteen years ago)

I know what you will say, "Read the Wikipedia entry". But I have and I am none the wiser! (Though some the sadder).

Tom (Groke), Monday, 8 January 2007 23:15 (eighteen years ago)

That big ol' entry I spit out up there's pretty much a synopsis, albeit w/out all the metaphysical WHO ARE YOU garbage that flavored the latter half of this clusterfuck. There's some stupid fight with his spider essence, or whatever, and this spider essence (or whatever) seems to now be that nurse in his school (& seems to be making time w/ Flash Thompson) (Parker / Thompson slash to thread!), but it's just padding for an already-padded Grand Sweeping Super Epic. Credit to Wikipedia, tho - I never would've mapped the first 5 parts of this piece of shit to Kubler-Ross. Guess I was in denial.

And, like I said, aside from some business directly after the x-over, where Spidey gets in touch w/ his new powers (& his new suit), and whatever PAD is planning, this OTHER crap has been swept under the rug to make room for the CIVIL WAR crap.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 9 January 2007 02:06 (eighteen years ago)

Good. It's about time people started giving Spidey a break and ignoring the 40+ years of crud that's happened to him. The exception being Dan Slott, because he makes it all funny.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 9 January 2007 09:59 (eighteen years ago)

It's not good if they're ignoring the usable stuff mired in the historical crud for this Brand Nu Crud they're ladeling all over the place.

David R. (popshots75`), Tuesday, 9 January 2007 13:58 (eighteen years ago)

When I read up on the backstory of all this spider-totem nonsense I honestly could not believe Marvel had greenlit it.

Tom (Groke), Tuesday, 9 January 2007 14:18 (eighteen years ago)

That was the magic hands of JMS, wasn't it?

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 9 January 2007 16:35 (eighteen years ago)

six months pass...

The Spider-Fangs have yet to be unsheathed since their big debut (as far as I know). I've cut bait on PAD's Spidey book, tho: semi-whimsical stories actually grappling w/ the OTHER nonsense = sadface pour moi.

David R., Monday, 16 July 2007 13:52 (eighteen years ago)

It's more sadface because Peter David = 1 lone professional in a sea of hacks.

Although I imagine JMS is too busy web-jizzing himself senseless over his latest idea i.e. WHAT IF SPIDEY'S MARRIAGE WAS A DREAM EEEEMMMOOOOOOO to care about things like the refuse left over from his last ridiculous plot.

Seriously, was Babylon 5 so good that JMS now has a Get Out Of Writing Free card? How do I earn one of those?
