Christopher Weston, his former apprentice, is joined by Liam Sharp, Al Davision, Jon Haward and other comic luminaries to pay tribute and look at the work of the Trigan Empire creator who passed away at the end of 2003. 12.30 - 2.20 - 2000AD Portfolio Sessions. Budding artists present their work to The Mighty Tharg in 2000AD's Nerve Centre at The Ramada
12.30pm - 1.30 - The Dandy, The Beano, The Rest. Meet the creators of your favourite funny comics inc Lew Stringer, Dave Windett + more
1.10pm - 2.10 - DC Comics Panel. Q&A session including DC Group Editor Bob Shreck, Wildstorm Exec Editor Scott Dunbier, Barry Kitson, Staz Johnson, Dave Gibbons + tbc
1.30 - 2.30 - Raptus International Panel. Our twin comic festival, from Bergen in Norway, present an authoritative panel on the world of comic art, including Rex Rudi, Jim Wheelock and international guests tbc

4.00 - 5.00 Charity Art Auction Preview. See the artwork from this year's Deck Of Cards, and buy the limited edition decks. Led by editors John Bamber and Fil Baldowski. 5pm - Charity Art Auction for ChildLine. With auctioneer supreme Mike Conroy, raising money for the charity ChildLine. Should end at 7pm but may overrun.

2pm - 3pm - Comic Art Masterclass. Festival producer and far-famed writer and artist Kev F Sutherland teaches top tips on how to write, draw and sell comic strips.

May well end up at the DC/Vertigo/Marvel panels as well. I'm concerned this leaves me not much time in the comics hall, but looking at my wallet that may not be a bad thing. My original suggestion of Ramada bar (or perhaps the Reckless?) after the Don Lawrence thing still looks favourite.
