...does anyone have this? Is it really worth the $75 or so i see it going for??

Have wanted this for eons and passed by a copy about 7 years ago & didn't have the then maybe 30 bucks to get it, went back a couple of days later-zip-gone.

Ugh, how old am I? The first issue of Hustler I ever bought had Theodore Sturgeon's review of this book.

back in the 70s this bk was heavily remaindered in arty bookshops like 'words and music' etc. - the uk publisher dragon's dream went bust not that long after printing, so i think all their warehouse stock of The Studio floated round for years until of course it became quite scarce

there was a 'legendary' signing of the bk by all four participants at forbidden planet london - i think it was jeff jones who signed all his signatures w/ a huge thick black marker that bled thru the bk!

the bk itself is a pleasant if pretentious collection of semi-decent paintings and drawings by four moderately talented comic bk artists

I'd continue scrounging around instead of paying that price for it. Though, all things considered, it's not bad. Copies I've seen at the San Diego con usually go for about twice that or more (probably because you can usually get 3/4 of the artists to sign it on the show floor.)

one month passes...

I used to have 4 huge signed and numbered prints from these dudes. great quality. i have no idea who i bought it from at the time. musta been mail-order. i loved the wrightson frankenstein print.
