NEW 48 pager from Jim Woodring!

WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

None of the local places seem to have it yet, though.

one month passes...
It's finally out.

It rocks.

Possibly the best Frank story yet (although he takes a backseat to Pupshaw and Pushpaw and even a new character who sorta resembles Ganesh.)

Goddamn I love Jim's ink drawing.

Just so Austin doesn't feel lonesome in his Woodring love, I also agree that it's super great. Plus, Woodring has made it available on his site for cover cost + media mail shipping and you can have the genius autograph it for you!

If I had real money I would so be buying a set of those Confidence Bird prints. And probably original stuff as well.

I'm a total awestruck fanboy of that man.

I really want the "lifesize" Pupshaw that you mentioned in an earelier thread. Presspop says they might do another run if demand is high enough!

Did you see the comics journal interivew with him? It's pretty amazing, mostly because of (1) his professions of his inability to draw (!!!) and (2) his stories about other artists, particularly Jack Kirby, who he described as someone who upon entering a car, thought it was "a space ship or something."

I've read the one from around 95. Has there been another more recently?

A little web research has revealed there was one in the 2002 Summer Special. A little more web research has revealed that neither the local public or university libraries have a copy.

CONFOUND IT!

Austin, I'd scan it and send it to you but it's oversize format and...23 pages long! Copies of this show up fer cheap on ebay all the time, though.

Ain't no thing. I've already managed to sucker a friend on another board into xeroxing it for me.

Now I feel LAZY.
