I wasn't sure if there was one! this is the thread where you list the comics & trades you don't want or need anymore and people who want them offer you other stuff for them!

i'd be into trading...

ULTIMATE X-MEN TP #3
FABLES TP #1
ALIAS TP #1 & #2
MIDNIGHT NATION TP (j michael straczynski graphic novel)

and maybe... some other stuff... if i can remember.

anyone?

"The use value of this thread is off tha hook!" -carl marks

I know you and I tried to swing something, but I'm hard to shop for! I'll post my list in a bit, though...

c(''c) (Leee), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 02:07 (nineteen years ago)

that was before i had anything though!

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 02:45 (nineteen years ago)

let me clarify that my list there is stuff i own that i'm willing to swap for other stuff--it's not a list of stuff i'm looking for.

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 02:49 (nineteen years ago)

Superman Wedding Album #1 Special Collector's Item

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 14:48 (nineteen years ago)

Fer Realz:
I got a heap of Batman trades, maybe some JLA. I'll post a list when I go home, if the new Thought Police haven't already busted into my apt. and burned my Batmanses.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 15:12 (nineteen years ago)

oh yeah? i'd be into some of that probably if you see anything you like huk!

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 16:28 (nineteen years ago)

Off the top of my head:

Batman: KnightFall Vols 1-3
Batman: War Drums
Batman: War Games Vols 1 & 2 (no 3!)
The Return of the Justice Society
JLA: THe Nail & Another Nail
Powers Vol. 1
Crisis on Infinite Earths: THE NOVEL (no pictures, all words!)
Green Lantern: The Last Will & Testament of Hal Jordan

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 16:35 (nineteen years ago)

i could get into powers #1!

i don't really know the other stuff... how's that green lantern?

a crisis novel kinda scares me.

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 16:40 (nineteen years ago)

The GL thing is pretty awful. Hal Jordan's never before seen son shows up on drunk Pieface's doorstep. Sienkiewicz inks, though.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 16:43 (nineteen years ago)

whatcha want for the powers? anything tempt you?

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 17:44 (nineteen years ago)

if the new Thought Police haven't already busted into my apt. and burned my Batmanses.

I um, read that as Batmenses.

I ALSO HAVE THE POWERS VOL. 1. TRADE WITH ME.

c(''c) (Leee), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 17:47 (nineteen years ago)

You want to trade Powers Vol 1. trade with me for Powers Vol. 1 trade?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 17:51 (nineteen years ago)

NOOOOOOOO

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 17:51 (nineteen years ago)

LET'S HEAR SOME OFFERS HERE PEOPLES.

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 17:55 (nineteen years ago)

If c('c) (is the that Leeeeeee?) really wants something of yrs, I'll back off, but otherwise, I'll put up whatever for an Alias Vol. 1.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 18:15 (nineteen years ago)

You can have the Alias, Huk. I'm trying to get rid of my Bendis over here!

c(''c)eee (Leee), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 19:54 (nineteen years ago)

I've got 100 Bullets Vol. 1, too.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 20:28 (nineteen years ago)

hey what you want for daredevils 4-5?

this is really turning into the bendis trade-a-thon huh?

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 20:28 (nineteen years ago)

i kinda want doze sin city trades.. i will post a list of what i wanna get rid of, but it's nothin good, really! i will post when i get home.. some stray batman garbage, mostly.

preacher, anyone??

Special Agent Gene Krupa (orion), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 20:36 (nineteen years ago)

I like the stray Batman garbage! (but I have lots too, but I'm eager see whatchagot)

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 20:47 (nineteen years ago)

Just FYI, the Sin City are them normal trade size, not them pansy pocket sized ones put out for the movie.

c(''c) (Leee), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 21:30 (nineteen years ago)

There is zero chance of my mailing anything anywhere (I know my mental illness that well), but I shall look out what I wanna get rid of and note it here for any of the people I meet to ask for. I believe I have some duplicates of some of my old work, including the TPB of Mark Millar's first ever comics work, Saviour.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 21:32 (nineteen years ago)

i'm serious about the daredevil thing leee!! very serious!! let's make this happen!!

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 22:55 (nineteen years ago)

What else do you have? Anything by Alanter Moorilligan?

c(''c) (Leee), Tuesday, 24 January 2006 23:24 (nineteen years ago)

that Saviour trade has a Gaiman intro, obsessive-collector-types!

kit brash (kit brash), Wednesday, 25 January 2006 00:48 (nineteen years ago)

I don't really have many trades, but I just spotted a Feb 1990 issue of "Amiga Action" in the middle of my old comics pile -- y'know, FYI.

I'd be interested in swapping something for Bendis Daredevils -- I'll try 'n dig something up. I have a lot of Jim Thompson books, if that, er, counts.

Chuck_Tatum (Chuck_Tatum), Wednesday, 25 January 2006 01:40 (nineteen years ago)

Also...

ng-unit, Wednesday, 25 January 2006 03:50 (nineteen years ago)

If Hoosiers is about a young Indian girl who plays soccer, I mean, "football," then we've got a deal!

c(''c) (Leee), Wednesday, 25 January 2006 04:06 (nineteen years ago)

someone should take that Dan & Larry off NG, it's great

kit brash (kit brash), Wednesday, 25 January 2006 05:34 (nineteen years ago)

not quite, but mint condition dude! MINT. CONDITION. HOOSIERS. DVD.

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 25 January 2006 06:56 (nineteen years ago)

Oh -- I have every Cerebus up till (natch) Reads, although presumably the postage roughly = cost of book (unless I mailed it from work SHHH).

aldo_cowpat (aldo_cowpat), Wednesday, 25 January 2006 14:58 (nineteen years ago)

The Ballad of Halo Jones by Alan Moore & Ian Gibson - all three Titan volumes
Starman: Infernal Devices by James Robinson and Tony Harris
Saviour Book 1 (Mark Millar's first ever comic work, particularly brilliantly edited)(I have three spares of this one)
also both squarebound issues of Year One: Batman Ra's Al Ghul by Devin Grayson & Paul Gulacy

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 28 January 2006 12:32 (nineteen years ago)

Martin, I can mail your stuff out to anyone that wants, if you like.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Saturday, 28 January 2006 13:12 (nineteen years ago)

Ward Fowler (Ward Fowler), Saturday, 28 January 2006 16:34 (nineteen years ago)

Okay, full-ish list (maybe I can stand to part w/ more):

New Teen Titans: The Judas Contract
Powers: Who Killed Retro Girl
Justice League of America: Zatanna's Search (silver age goofiness)
100 Bullets: First Shot, Last Call
The Flash: The Return of Barry Allen
Green Lantern Legacy: The Last Will & Testament of Hal Jordan
Batman: War Games Part One, Two & Prelued (3 volumes--NOTE: Concludes in War Games Part Three, not available)

s1ocki (slutsky), Saturday, 28 January 2006 16:56 (nineteen years ago)

They're yours, Mr Ward so-called Fowler. Come into town one day soon and we will do lunch (as if we have any class), and you can have them and your Xmas present!

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 28 January 2006 16:58 (nineteen years ago)

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 22 March 2006 20:25 (nineteen years ago)

Yah, it's broken right now. Russ's email up there is the one you need to contact him with, along w/ name, region, list of books you're willing to trade and stuff you're generally interested in. I'M MAKING IT MY PERSONAL MISSION TO HELP YOU GET RID OF POWERS.

c(''c) (Leee), Wednesday, 22 March 2006 21:20 (nineteen years ago)

A fellowship!

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 22 March 2006 21:25 (nineteen years ago)

Huk-L (Huk-L), Thursday, 23 March 2006 15:35 (nineteen years ago)

GUYS... I THINK I DID IT!!!

s1ocki (slutsky), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 21:17 (nineteen years ago)

Is it top secret?? Did you trade it for a video game??

c(''c) (Leee), Tuesday, 28 March 2006 23:16 (nineteen years ago)

NOPE! JUST CLOSED THE DEAL! HAVE A CIGAR!

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 29 March 2006 14:47 (nineteen years ago)

http://www.sequentialswap.com/memberinfo.php?mid=239

I'm moving, so I'm basically looking to get rid of any comics I don't anticipate reading again, while having the swapped-for stuff shipped to the new address. I've made a lot of trades, but there are still plenty of comics left.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 7 April 2006 13:24 (nineteen years ago)

Are those Hulk trades any good? (not that I have anything on yr want list that I'm willing to part with--I sent Slocki my DKSA for, um, Alias)(wait, you don't specify which Alias you want, but probably not 1 & 2)(I'm also considering putting some of my floppies up for trade, but haven't figured out which)

Huk-L (Huk-L), Friday, 7 April 2006 13:34 (nineteen years ago)

I just got Alias 1, but Alias 2 yes -- most of the first part of my want list is stuff I have in floppies but want in trades or I know I won't actually reread them.

The Hulks are both from PAD's run, and while they're not the best of it, Ground Zero is probably a decent introduction to his Hulk if you don't mind that there's a lot of backstory. It's not super-confusing backstory, but you can tell the arc wasn't written with later trade paperbacking in mind.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 7 April 2006 13:37 (nineteen years ago)

Now that I'm thinking about it, I really want the Hulk Essentials to get up to PAD's run, although that seems unlikely unless they jump straight to it like the two separate X-Men series -- and that would mean missing a lot of the wacky, if dated, in-between stuff.

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 7 April 2006 13:57 (nineteen years ago)

that's funny tep, i just ran across your profile on sequentialswap by accident yesterday!

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 7 April 2006 14:04 (nineteen years ago)

You should have taken my Superman comics! Don't you want to see Superman get revenge on Doomsday?

(You really don't.)

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 7 April 2006 14:06 (nineteen years ago)

Is "Trial of Superman" actually, y'know, courtroom drama?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Friday, 7 April 2006 14:09 (nineteen years ago)

Um, yes.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 7 April 2006 14:18 (nineteen years ago)

12 angry supermen!

s1ocki (slutsky), Friday, 7 April 2006 14:20 (nineteen years ago)

It's unfortunate that "protagonist is put on trial by alien court" has actually become a trope, but there you go. At least it isn't a clips episode that ends with Superman and Jerry in jail arguing about sweater-vests!

Tep (ktepi), Friday, 7 April 2006 14:23 (nineteen years ago)

four months pass...
I'm trading my Jinx for Fantastic Four: 1234 and Spidey Torch: I'm with Moran!

WELL DONE

kit brash (kit brash), Tuesday, 22 August 2006 08:46 (eighteen years ago)

Except! Shipping internationally (the bloke lives in Eire!) is going to cost a minimum of $8 for 4-6 weeks! GULP.

c('°c) (Leee), Tuesday, 22 August 2006 15:28 (eighteen years ago)

Shipping is CRAZY. I was just talking to Warlock Mag, and he said he spent WAY TOO MUCH MONEY sending out prizes. He thought it was going to be cheap. But it wasn't. If he spent just a little more money, he could have bought an Amtrack Pass and delivered all the prizes in person.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Wednesday, 23 August 2006 15:44 (eighteen years ago)

Dude, are you having an IDENTITY CRISIS?

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 23 August 2006 15:53 (eighteen years ago)

the trick is to send them out at work

s1ocki (slutsky), Wednesday, 23 August 2006 16:18 (eighteen years ago)

> I was just talking to Warlock Mag, and he said he spent WAY TOO MUCH MONEY sending out prizes.

When you see Warlock Mag, tell him don't sweat it on my account. If it's poking him too hard in the wallet, just give the funny books to some kid on the street.

But continue to WAKE WINE WARLOCK!

100% CHAMPS with a Yes! Attitude. (Austin, Still), Wednesday, 23 August 2006 16:20 (eighteen years ago)

Who wants to trade for one of my Crumb "Heroes of the Blues" trading card sets? Also: which set do I want to trade? (1st printing: no UV coating, colors less vibrant. Later printing, possibly Eclipse Comics edition, UV coated and much brighter color on cards and box.) Trade value varies obv.; do I want to keep 1st ed. as investment or 2nd ed. because it's more purty?

Also: Michael Golden Dr. Strange portfolio, 6 plates

Also: F.O.O.G. porfolio, 10 plates

Danny Aioli (Rock Hardy), Friday, 8 September 2006 15:32 (eighteen years ago)

I mentioned a Crumb set?

Am I having an IDENTITY CRISIS?

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 8 September 2006 15:33 (eighteen years ago)

Adds up to a decent sized longbox. Anybody hungry?

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 03:42 (eighteen years ago)

The question is, is any of that stuff upthread still available.
There's so much stuff in this box that I'm embarassed to still own but too gullible to giveaway.
Like these Punisher: Armory books.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 03:58 (eighteen years ago)

Anybody want this LONGSHOT trade I bought when I was 12? It's Nocentiriffic.

barefoot manthing (Garrett Martin), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 12:50 (eighteen years ago)

It's Art Adamsensational, too!

David R. (popshots75`), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 12:58 (eighteen years ago)

I'll trade you my Death in the Family for the Longshot trade.
Stepping up.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 15:08 (eighteen years ago)

Hrmm... no interest in sidekick death. How about that Concrete trade?

barefoot manthing (Garrett Martin), Wednesday, 13 September 2006 15:14 (eighteen years ago)

I actually already have that Longshot trade in another one of the under the house boxes. The thundering silence in response to this post suggests that I need to maybe just contribute much of this to landfill.

I'd totally jump for the Morrison stuff, but I think I'm gonna make that my first foray into the Marvel Omnibus format. I like letter columns. And wielding books as weapons. They should come out with an even bigger, specialer, dangerouser format in a year or two with all the original ads included.

barefoot manthing (Garrett Martin), Thursday, 21 September 2006 12:23 (eighteen years ago)
