Comixfan: While we are on the subject of 2006, what do you have coming up in the New Year?

Milligan: I hope to be working with Axel Alonso on something soon, but that’s probably a little early to be going into detail about. What is firmed up is a project I am doing with Wildstorm. This is called THE PROGRAMME and is a kind of post cold-war superhero dark thriller. Kind of Noam Chomsky meets The Fantastic Four as imagined by Doctor Strangelove. It’s a twelve part maxi series and I’m excited about it.

I'm such a Milligan fan, I bought 3 of the 6 issues of Toxin. Admittedly, they were only a quarter each, but still!

No, I didn't. I'm not really a fan of The Authority. Will likely get GM's run, though.

G Morrison on The Authority would be Thrill Power Incarnate. I can't see the pencilpushers at DC HQ letting this sort of quality survive on their "lesser" line for long; it might throw the brave, new, Post Inconsequential Crassness DCU into unflattering sharp relief.

I bought every single issue of Toxin and Venom/Carnage. In a way, it was Milligan completely unleashed, only in the shape of tons of dark humor. Of course, it also has some identity crisis and body-snatching. And a last page filled with so many with ridiculous stuff it's hard to believe he could get away with it. On par with his X-Men run.
