So does this board automatically spam-protect the email addresses? I've been using gibberish at gibberish dot com for mine, but maybe I should use a real address?

Does any board here? I figured once a spammer registered and turned on addresses, they were free to reap as many addresses as they could. (My Webmail screens out 95% of the spam, so it's not been an issue.)

ILC does not spam-protect your publicly listed email, nor does any ILX sub-board. You can of course register a real, private address that nobody can see, but through a nifty webmail option (available someplace in Settings, I think) you can still be contacted by geeks as sweaty as you are.

I pretty much only use this email address here, and I get very minimal spam, like 5 or 6 a week.
