What is this, 1987?

YES

Ahah, I was kind of thinking "it sounds like that standard-issue 'this is to show I know who Daredevil is, just in case you don't' text everyone uses when they take over a book," like opening your Spidey run with a late-night mugging and a bounced rent check.

But still. After Brubaker's Cap, I'll give this a look.

SWEET

Also, the preview doesn't show the neat little twist that happens a page or two afterwards.

(To give it away: the guy in the costume bouncing around the rooftops and beating up thugs in the rain? That's not Daredevil.)

that is hardly the most significant plot innovation in the issue, though. the very end makes my heart pound!

Special Agent Gene Krupa (orion), Saturday, 18 February 2006 00:10 (nineteen years ago)

Yeah--this is a VERY plot-twist-heavy issue. Just the way I like it.

Douglas (Douglas), Saturday, 18 February 2006 00:33 (nineteen years ago)

sex is, indeed... a lot like comic books.

Special Agent Gene Krupa (orion), Saturday, 18 February 2006 04:45 (nineteen years ago)

That's not Daredevil

OR IS IT???
You can cage Matt Murdock, but HIS SPIRIT must roam free!
Come on, it wouldn't be the first time a superhero split in two. Daredevil keeps Dare-Robots in his apartment for emergencies, right? And sometimes he gets Batman to dress up as--hold the phone, I'm thinking of Showcase Superman.

The monologue in those pages sounds exactly like Rorschach in Watchmen. Is the plot twist that he's kidnapped Matt Murdock and dresses in his suit?

What kind of QUESTION is that?

David R. (popshots75`), Saturday, 18 February 2006 17:44 (nineteen years ago)

three years pass...

Bru out, Diggle in?

WmC, Wednesday, 18 March 2009 02:24 (sixteen years ago)

Dirk Diggler is writing Daredevil?!??

that would probably be hilarious if Diggle hadn't been in comics since years before Boogie Nights came out.

No, probably not.

Darediggle is better, I think.
