Real People Who Look Like Theyve Been Drawn By A Comics Artist

I have been working on a not-very-interesting project recently at work which has given me lots of time to reflect at meetings. And what I have reflected on is that the project manager looks exactly like he was drawn by minor early-90s DC artist Chuck Wozniuk, he of the Art Adams borrowings, big chunky faces and thick furry eyebrows. It's uncanny!

Does this happen to you oh reader?

I remember that issue! Wonder Woman and Green Lantern accidentally gave Superman a red kryptonite objet d'art, which split him into triplicate: one of them got the muscles, one of them got the adulthood, and the third got the belt buckle. Then the Guardians age-regressed GL to teach him a lesson!

I guess the many, many Death-from-Sandman lookalikes don't count?

(Far fewer Death-from-Infinity-Gauntlet lookalikes.)

I see a lot of Steve Rogers looking guys now that I'm in the cornfed all-American Midwest, and an increasing amount of Top Cow ass.

Tep (ktepi), Tuesday, 18 May 2004 17:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Haha. Which color kryptonite causes aging, sex-changing, and the ability to change matter into puppy chow again?

I've met a couple Johnny the Homicidal Maniacs, no doubt. Also, I remember there was a character in JtHM named Raven who was a snotty, Goth record store clerk and he looked EXACTLY like a guy I knew named Raven who was a snotty Goth-metal record store clerk OMG.

My ex used to have Omaha the Cat Dancer's hair, but I'm not sure if this was because she was friends with the OtCD crew. She didn't have the tail, though.

I have never, ever seen anyone whose hair greyed the way Hal Jordan's and Reed Richards' has, and if I met such a one I'd probably assume they were a superhero.

when I take off my glasses, I don't recognize myself.

Andy Dick looks late-60s DC. Looks like Mr. Mxyzptlk, actually. Drawn by... Alex Saviuk?

Rock Hardy (Rock Hardy), Thursday, 20 May 2004 00:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh God, that's an image I'll never get out of my head. If we make him say Kid Ydna, will he go back to the 5th dimension?

Tep (ktepi), Thursday, 20 May 2004 00:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Andy Dick + bowler hat + green vest = next Superman movie. Ch-ching!
