Work of art?. Work of the devil?. DISCUSS!

(to note: the Justice League of Rock! With Mick Jagger and Freddie Mercury!).

These comics were totally the worst, and this company's "work" was totally inferior to that of the already substandard Rock 'n' Roll Comics. When I was 15, I bought a copy of the Pink Floyd issue at a local convention and realized that the guy who drew it was the same dude who used to deal pot behind the 7-11 in my neighborhood.

On N'rama Stuart Immomen cops to doing some of those!

Rock & Roll comics were just terrible. I was such a Jane's Addiction fanboy that I bought their issue even while holding the copy, and perusing it, noting that it looked awful. I think it was the first comic book I consciously threw away.

Special Agent Gene Krupa (orion), Thursday, 9 March 2006 21:17 (twenty years ago)

Fucking terrible art there - and it was done in 1990! It looks like really poor Marvel art from about 1976. But even worse than that.

P.S. Special Agent - you're wrong, Bowie's a genius.

The art looks like 2000AD or Hellblazer to me. OHHHHH IN YOUR FACE

You know, I had almost started regretting having said that, but now it has become completely worth it.

Isn't it a shame that the story about Bowie planning a Watchmen musical was but a glib rumour?

Or WAS IT? ;-)

"HRM!" hits #12 on the Billboard Charts! Follow up single "Would that the humanity had one single throat with my hands about it" becomes popular song at weddings.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Friday, 10 March 2006 16:47 (twenty years ago)

The show kicks off with the upbeat rocker "Dog Carcass in the Alley", which seagues into the rousing chorus off "I Got Human Bean Juice (All Over My Badge)".

"My Cape Gives Me A Boner"

Huk-L (Huk-L), Friday, 10 March 2006 17:40 (twenty years ago)

"I'm gonna stop the nuclear war, for humankind's own sake
With a big old octopus from space that they won't know is fake
The Russians and Dick Nixon will then throw in the towel
Cos I'm a man before my time just like my hero Al"

I do apologise.

Bowie + "Britain could benefit from a fascist leader" = Rorschach?

;-)

Thin White Duke = black trilby + red hair = hurmmmm...
