My Rogue Trooper minicomic, that is!

http://beatgirlcomics.blogspot.com/

You can thank Andy Luke of Livejournal fame! If he hadn't been such a colossal prick I might never have been spurred to action!

Ha ha, I like the fact that his theme tune's Eiffel 65.

So, hang on, have you been Al Ewing all along? I'm confused...

Um, yes.

Vic F (Vic Fluro), Monday, 13 March 2006 19:40 (nineteen years ago)

OK then. I'm not confused anymore.

I had no idea, either!

Maybe I'll put those drawings on ebay...

_chrissie (chrissie1068), Monday, 13 March 2006 19:51 (nineteen years ago)

As far as I can remember, the Flash one's the only one that stayed behind, so I've a feeling that any other drawings you might have are from other people...

Vic F (Vic Fluro), Monday, 13 March 2006 19:58 (nineteen years ago)

Actually, I think you're right. Apart from that picture of the Atom exhibiting an anatomical feature I don't remember Gil Kane ever developing. ;-)

So who the hell did Alan Moore and 'Jim' Davison?! These pictures are crap investments without a provenance!!

_chrissie (chrissie1068), Monday, 13 March 2006 20:08 (nineteen years ago)

I laughed, I got down, etc.

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 13 March 2006 20:08 (nineteen years ago)

I forgot the Atom... let's see, it could've been Lee O'Connor or Dom Reardon. It's the kind of thing Reardon would do...

Who is Andy Luke of Livejournal fame??

Tom (Groke), Monday, 13 March 2006 23:21 (nineteen years ago)

The guy who wrote the unfavourable review. Big in Livejournal circles by the look of it.

Vic F (Vic Fluro), Monday, 13 March 2006 23:39 (nineteen years ago)

Bless you, Vic Fluro & your Rick-James-quoting ways.

I gave Andy's comic a good review in the latest Comics International. I have to say, though, I'd have given this Rogue Trooper thingy a fairly similar review. (In fact: self-publishers are positively encouraged to send me free comics!)

Er, anyway, Andy is generally quite bonkers and his work reflects this. Which means it's quite compelling, really.

_chrissie (chrissie1068), Monday, 13 March 2006 23:47 (nineteen years ago)

Well, I'm sure I'll come round in time.

Vic F (Vic Fluro), Monday, 13 March 2006 23:50 (nineteen years ago)

Not wanting to stir it up but I got a mail off him today, thanking me for the review, and then, 'P.S. Al Ewing SHAGS BADGERS!'

Leave me out of it, nowt to do with me...

;-)

(You were both at Brighton, so, I guess you'll both be at Bristol. Can I sell tickets?)

_chrissie (chrissie1068), Monday, 13 March 2006 23:57 (nineteen years ago)

I'll have forgotten about it completely by then, sadly. But this badger-shagging slur shall not stand!
