* The best one in that category for me is the ep where there's some religious cultural exchange thing going on, and Sinclair has to come up with the human representative...so at the end, he decides to just have the ambassadors shake hands with representatives from EVERY earth creed in existence. I mean, not only is this a rubbish way of showing off your culture (the other aliens all had ceremonies and stuff, all we get is a load of ppl in silly outfits that you can shake hands with?), but it also assumes that all the other races only have one religion, or at least only one "official" religion...thus driving home the serie's constant message, HUMANS ARE SPECIAL. It's a really crazy, goofy sort of species-patriotism.
It's never reminded me of Vertigo, tbh. More like the early 70's Green Arrow/Green Lantern comics (but not as good obv)
