waitaminnit, is this another "based on idea AND concepts from" or the real deal?
― Dr. Superman, Saturday, 28 July 2007 07:11 (eighteen years ago)
No, he's writing it and Jones is drawing it. It's...well, I have to read it now, huh?
― Mr. Perpetua, Saturday, 28 July 2007 15:05 (eighteen years ago)
That's awesome, but please tell me I can still skip Countdown!

GODDAMN YOU TO HELL DC FOR MAKING ME STILL HAVE HOPES IN YOUR FLOUNDERING LINE!

I really should speak up sooner about these things, so as to win various bets - OH HOW I'VE BEEN CRIPPLED BY MY FEAR OF SPEAKING TOO SOON:
"RUNAWAYS" - VAUGHN ANNOUNCES HE'S LEAVING - My first thought: betcha Whedon's taking over. Few days later: I'm vindicated, despite y'know not actually being "vindicated" in the proper sense.
"FINAL CRISIS" J. G JONES TEASER RELEASED - "Can't go back to Johns immediately (and thank goodness!) so I'm thinking Morrison's gonna take the bloated corporate baton." And so: DURN.

huzzah! Now boot Meltzer playing with his paper dolls.
Countdown's craptutide doesn't irk me nearly as much as the poo-tastic cardstock characterization of the current JLA.

Meltzer's getting the boot! Dwayne McDuffie's the new JLA guy as of #13!
― David R., Sunday, 29 July 2007 00:11 (eighteen years ago)
can tiny footprints being branded on the surface of Meltzer's brain as a parting gift?
Unfamiliar with McDuffie, but he cannot possibly churn out the same bland smugitude.
Am i going to have to read Zero Hour? Because i am anyway.

You're going to have to read all 8-billion pages of post-Crisis continuity to have even the barest inkling of what's happening. The 450-million pages of pre-Crisis continuity will fill in the gaps.

According to a guy on seebelow:
A fan asked what would make Final Crisis different, and Morrison said it would have Anthro the First Boy on the first page, and Kamandi the Last Boy on the last page."He's not kidding," added DiDio.
"He's not kidding," added DiDio.

I hope I don't have to explain to any of my co-workers why I have a big stupid grin all over my face

I don't know about the Jones art. One of the things I really liked about his 52 covers is that they were so, um, cover-y. Though I assume he's not painting the innards of Final Crisis?

I don't know about the Jones art.
See MARVEL BOY and then color you're face red.

I'm hoping that this will make it readable, but y'know, Morrison was involved with 52 and I wanted to launch my issues of that into the Pacific ocean starting around...#5 or so. Proof, pudding, etc.
