Mother Of Champions: that's a Morrison idea if ever I heard of one. How she got past the one-child rule I don't know. But as a statement on Chinese attitudes to Labour relations...

SOmeone at the newspaper drew that Batwoman though, right?

Pete (Pete), Sunday, 28 May 2006 10:25 (nineteen years ago)

Supposedly it was your friend and mine (and zillaman's) Alex Ross who designed her.

Tom (Groke), Sunday, 28 May 2006 10:30 (nineteen years ago)

Foreigners, they do love to procreate, don't they?

"I'm glad we're at the point when they're being rolled out without flourish - not 'Minority Heroes Attack!,' " DC writer Judd Winick tells Gustines.

That's pretty much what that newspaper headline is, though.

I am needlessly excited abt Batwoman, guys. Anything that beefs up the Montoya plot in 52 is fine by me.

"Lipstick lesbians" are the best kind!

c(''c) (Leee), Sunday, 28 May 2006 17:53 (nineteen years ago)

I'm just glad that they're not making Montoya into Batwoman.

Jordan (Jordan), Sunday, 28 May 2006 17:56 (nineteen years ago)

chaki (chaki), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 00:26 (nineteen years ago)

There was some WAHEY LEBZIUMS coverage in Metro this morning. Outlook have apparently suggested that this particular iteration of diversity might be some kind of - gasp! choke - MALE WANK FANTASY. "A blogger" is quoted as saying that "Kathy Kane would look great in a catsuit".

Tom (Groke), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 08:17 (nineteen years ago)

"I was quoted while writing this very article as saying..."

Vic F (Vic Fluro), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 08:19 (nineteen years ago)

So what would she look like in a batsuit? Pity the Catwoman schtick is already taken.

Of course batsuits have on the whole been designed by Batman, which might explain why the recent and no longer Batgirl's costume was so illfitting.

That Metro article was horrendous. they even added some Wham! Pow!s etc right in the middle of a sentence for no reason.

"The series is set in a world in which established superheroes like Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman no longer play a part."

Particularly poor use of 'like', there.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 16:55 (nineteen years ago)

Established superheroes LIKE Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman who no longer play a part in 52: Robin, Superboy, Wonder Woman.

Warlock Magazine (Warlock Magazine), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 17:03 (nineteen years ago)

The Terrible! Appalling! article in the Metro is proof that both Crises have been for nothing.

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Wednesday, 31 May 2006 08:00 (nineteen years ago)

(Sales maybe).
