I was browsing through Amazon and lo! I see a CLOAK & DAGGER DVD!! Like, omigod! But instead of Ty and Tandy, it's about some video game nerd who has an imaginary friend. Nuts!

DABNEY COLEMAN!
I saw this movie IN THE CINEMA, so stuff it. It was awesome.

The video game was better.

Lee, that's an awesome movie! To wit:

DABNEY COLEMAN!

When I was a kid I thought it was a sequel to 9 to 5, which made it even better!

A lot better than The Quest.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 17:26 (nineteen years ago)

both 9 to 5 and Cloak and Dagger are two of the earliest movies I remember seeing in the theater.

wasn't the kid from ET in C & D, as well?

Yes! And The Quest!
However, Flight of the Navigator was a different kid.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 17:28 (nineteen years ago)

Ok ok, I'm being too harsh on a movie I've never seen. However, I was disappointed that my favorite Marvel D-listers didn't actually have a movie out.

My movie is going to consist of 90 minutes of Dabney Coleman and Alan Arkin scowling and walking away.

Chuck_Tatum (Chuck_Tatum), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 17:29 (nineteen years ago)

Isn't that The In-Laws?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 17:31 (nineteen years ago)

Dabney played a great J. Jonah Jameson in the non-existent Spider-Man film from my youth.

barefoot manthing (Garrett Martin), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 17:33 (nineteen years ago)

Peter Falk was in THE IN-LAWS. I loved that movie. Utterly bonkers. But not quite so bonkers as SIMON, which is another great Alan Arkin flick (though just a tad dated these days.)

Matt Maxwell (Matt M.), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 17:54 (nineteen years ago)

You can't beat Freebie & the Bean (Alan Arkin + James Caan + CAR CHASES), though I don't think it's on DVD yet.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 17:56 (nineteen years ago)

The Return of Captain Invincible = Alan Arkin's superhero movie!

Ward Fowler (Ward Fowler), Tuesday, 30 May 2006 21:49 (nineteen years ago)

I've seen that! Very very silly as I recall. I think it's a musical.

Even less to do with comics, but I was just surfing through Colin Higgins' IMDB site (the 9 to 5 writer) and did you know Harold and Maude has been remade in Serbo-Croatian?
