The List! The List!

Smallest week in a loooong time for me:

52 WEEK #13
DETECTIVE COMICS #822
AGENTS OF ATLAS #1 (OF 6)

Huk-L (Huk-L), Monday, 31 July 2006 16:01 (nineteen years ago)

Just Y for me, so far.

And of course MAY063172 INCREDIBLE HULK # 1 RARE GRAHAM CRACKERS VAR COVER $24.99
.

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 31 July 2006 16:31 (nineteen years ago)

I was planning on getting PHONOGRAM, but it is nowhere to be seen. That just leaves Dini's DETECTIVE, which I suspect will just cross the threshold into pleasant and go no further.

Richard Baez (Johnny Logic), Monday, 31 July 2006 16:37 (nineteen years ago)

Oh yeah, Detective! I'm on that too.

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 31 July 2006 16:44 (nineteen years ago)

More like Williams's Detective for me.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Monday, 31 July 2006 16:53 (nineteen years ago)

Detective's solicit: No longer the villain of old, the Riddler has turned his brilliant brain to crime-solving, and to the surprise of both the police and Batman, he's actually good at it. Has Gotham's most pernicious puzzler turned over a new leaf, or is it all a cover for a darker scheme?

Do you have to ask?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Monday, 31 July 2006 16:57 (nineteen years ago)

Is Williams doing the art? I thought he was just a one-off...

Richard Baez (Johnny Logic), Monday, 31 July 2006 17:00 (nineteen years ago)

New leaf! New leaf!

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 31 July 2006 17:00 (nineteen years ago)

Am I the only one still pulling Ex Machina?

I saw the Phonogram chaps at SDCC! Nice guys, the writer is familiar with Freaky Trigger, but I couldn't understand half of what they were saying. (Too loud, accents, etc.)

c('°c) (Leee), Monday, 31 July 2006 17:02 (nineteen years ago)

I'm bored with Ex Machina.

Jordan (Jordan), Monday, 31 July 2006 17:05 (nineteen years ago)

Williams is "the regular artist". He took the assignment while waiting for SevSold #1 scripts. Now that he has the scripts, he's off Detective after this ish until he's done.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Monday, 31 July 2006 17:06 (nineteen years ago)

detective, uncanny and last week's rocketo if they haven't sold out

the eunuchs, Cassim and Mustafa, who guarded Abdur Ali's harem (orion), Monday, 31 July 2006 17:07 (nineteen years ago)

If Williams it is, then my enthusiasm for the week increases 10-fold. Thanks, Huk!

Richard Baez (Johnny Logic), Monday, 31 July 2006 17:08 (nineteen years ago)

For me: 52, ALL-NEW ATOM, DETECTIVE, and THE POWER OF SIX--this last is Jon (True Swamp) Lewis's new and fairly deranged "superhero team" book, and probably closer in tone to his True Swamp than his Robin.

Douglas (Douglas), Monday, 31 July 2006 20:28 (nineteen years ago)

RARE GRAHAM CRACKERS VAR COVER

roffle

Jesus Dan (Dan Perry), Monday, 31 July 2006 21:14 (nineteen years ago)

Supercalifragilisticexpiala Brosius (chaki), Monday, 31 July 2006 21:15 (nineteen years ago)

the eunuchs, Cassim and Mustafa, who guarded Abdur Ali's harem (orion), Monday, 31 July 2006 21:24 (nineteen years ago)

52 WEEK #13
ALL NEW ATOM #2
BATTLER BRITTON #2
CREEPER #1
DETECTIVE COMICS #822
EX MACHINA #22
JONAH HEX #10
Y THE LAST MAN #48
AGENTS OF ATLAS #1
FANTASTIC FOUR #539
PUNISHER #36
ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN #98
UNCANNY X-MEN #477
FALLEN ANGEL IDW #7

Plus I need to remember to pick up last week's 2000AD as well as this weeks. WHY SO MANY COMICS?

Has anyone else noticed Showcase Presents has skipped a month? Elongated Man came out 4 weeks ago, Batman Vol 1 not due till the end of the month.

I don't know if Showcase Presents has ever been on a regular schedule.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Tuesday, 1 August 2006 14:11 (nineteen years ago)

barefoot manthing (Garrett Martin), Tuesday, 1 August 2006 15:20 (nineteen years ago)

Detective is Paul Dini now, right?
I should already know this, but what ish does the Batman showcase start with? I'm so happy i could cry.

Forksclovetofu (Forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 1 August 2006 19:26 (nineteen years ago)

Just guessing, but I think the Batman Showcase will start with the "New Look" Batman in Detective.

...Dini's DETECTIVE, which I suspect will just cross the threshold into pleasant and go no further.

I AM THE VEENNAR

Richard Baez (Johnny Logic), Thursday, 3 August 2006 20:06 (nineteen years ago)

I didn't get the "twist" in Detective this week. Batman did wha?

Chuck_Tatum (Chuck_Tatum), Friday, 4 August 2006 11:14 (nineteen years ago)

He won because he's the goddamn Batman.

Sugar. Tits. Sugartits.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 4 August 2006 12:33 (nineteen years ago)

BTW, goddamn me for dropping FF only to reconsider picking it back up after reading ASM (which, goddamn it, is the best it's been since pre-Other horseshit hit the fan).

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 4 August 2006 12:35 (nineteen years ago)

Was I wrong about Williams being on Detective? Haven't picked up my comics yet, but I'm hearing chatter that it's actually one of those JSA humbugs from the Robinson run doing the art (and not the good one).

Huk-L (Huk-L), Friday, 4 August 2006 13:43 (nineteen years ago)

Don Kramer's artering. It's solid. There's a nice Riddler / Bats moment in the Batmobile, too.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 4 August 2006 13:47 (nineteen years ago)

backseat?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Friday, 4 August 2006 13:49 (nineteen years ago)

What smells like NAMBLArama in here?

Huk-L (Huk-L), Friday, 4 August 2006 14:28 (nineteen years ago)

Let's post the Speedy / Nightwang DC-approved slash link again.

David R. (popshots75`), Friday, 4 August 2006 14:37 (nineteen years ago)

JH Williams is back inna coupla issues.

I've been calling my partner "sugartits" the past few days. She doesn't like it, I don't know why it amuses me so much.

Chuck_Tatum (Chuck_Tatum), Friday, 4 August 2006 14:50 (nineteen years ago)

Do you do it in public? Like at her parents' house?
