Because of the popularity of the specials and Miniseries featuring Knuckles, in 1997 Knuckles the Echidna became an ongoing series. Knuckles's stories featured its own cast of Characters, including the Chaotix and Knuckles's romantic interest, Julie-Su. Like the Sonic comic, Knuckles's comic is filled with background information about Knuckles's family history. Knuckles's family has split into two factions: the Brotherhood of Guardians and the Dark Legion. Knuckles is a member of the former, and Julie-Su used to be a member of the latter. Much of the conflict of the comic surrounds the relations between these two warring factions.

In 10 years, Brad Meltzer will write a miniseries about how Tails was r-a-p-e-d by Dr. Robotnik and that Sonic had his memory erased by Dark Oak.

Shadow was a former protege of Sonic, killed by a flicky, and then resurrected after Knuckles Punched The Universe.

"a thrilling series of upscale reprints" LOL.

I read somehwere that the Sonic comic was currently in the process of "cleaning up" its continuity, as apparently writer after writer had left tons of loose ends, and the current guy was trying to make it all fit, making the comic all but incomprehensible to yr average reader.

Also, what about Sonic cartoons? They all sucked, but in such differnet ways! There was the one where he fought a rooster robot that was almost an attempt at making a classic Looney Tunes, anvil-heavy cartoon.

Sonic gets 200, Seaguy gets 3.

If Seaguy had a video game, he'd have at least 160.

Aquaman has a video game and I don't think he's ever gone past 60.

Huk-L (Huk-L), Wednesday, 9 August 2006 17:07 (nineteen years ago)

I think he's done it TWICE! He's at least at 140+ (not including minis / one-shot / swimsuit spectaculars).

The '94 series hit 77, and the '62 series (which was probably bi-monthly or even quarterly) went to 56 (though the numbering was continued in '77, when it went as high as #63)

and the '94 series included Zero and ONE MILLION issues, so it really only went to #75.

75 IS PAST 60

IS SONIC HIRING

That is the question. What if EVERYTHING SONIC KNEW WAS A LIE, EH-H-H-H? He thought he was a hedgehog but he'd been eaten by Planarian Worms. He's the Hedgehog Elemental!!

I'm not proud to know this but the guy who writes Sonic the Hedgehog posts on the Something Awful forums. If you can read this thread it's good for some lols and makes me think that this is what superhero comic discussion reads like to normals: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1813476
