I've never known anybody who's ever had an actual subscription. They need to offer better discounts, or maybe a free phone shaped like Mjolnir.

I always assumed they'd get wrecked in the mail. I like to keep my comics in pretty good shape, so no thanks.

I subscribed to some Marvels from 1975-77, by necessity since I'd just moved to Mississippi and distribution was spotty. At first they were folded in half and slipped into a brown-paper mailing sleeve, but they got enough complaints to stop that. On the subscription ads from the period you may (or may not) recall the Hulk saying "All subscription copies are MAILED FLAT!!!1!"
