Basically it looks like Keith Giffen takes old silver age comics and rewrites them for comedic effect. I fondly remember Ambush Bug so hey, it could work. Looking for reviews from the knowledgable ILC before I purchase ...

I bought this crapfest, and it STINKS. Giffen's participation is grossly overplayed. He "assisted" with one remix. As facile as the concept seems, it's actually REALLY difficult to pull off, even with just a four-page story, especially considering the high panel-count of pages back then. Why it's almost as hard as actually WRITING a comic. Only one effort worked in any meaning of the word "worked", and that was the one where "Astro-Dog" or something was crudely pasted over the appropriate words in a single page story.
Probably an easier way to deliver BANKABLE YUKS would be to do the reverse, DRAW NEW PANELS for existing dialogue & captions. Or better yet, just REPRINT THE UNADULTERATED STRIPS with and but a big fuck-face smirk disclaimer on the cover.
The only other enjoyable part was the names
