Sheesh! I just checked Wiki, and learned that somewhere along the line, that they decided that he's an alternate timeline version of Reed fukkin' Richards dad, and also Iron Lad!

He's not an alternate version of Reed's dad, he's an alternate version of a decendant of Reed's dad (or Dr. Doom, perhaps).
