Haven't been to a convention since 1993. There's a monthly one in Boston I've thought about attending, generally dealer room only, which is all I'd be interested in. I did once see John Wesley Shipp, aka tv's the Flash, run across a street in Wilmington, NC, a few years back. He actually was kinda fast, for like a normal guy. The thought of standing in line for an hour to get his autograph though is none too appealing.
