(presuming there's not another thread like this around)

This is the thread where we flaunt those items rare and precious (if only on a personal level) that happenstance has taken care to place within our grubby, grubby hands. EMPHASIS ON "HAPPENSTANCE" (i.e. no eBay).

MY MOST RECENT FIND, BURIED TWIXT THE UBIQUITOUS "ARCHER AND ARMSTRONG" AND ANY NUMBER OF BAT-BOOKS FEATURING AZRAEL:

TIME2: THE EPIPHANY by Messr. H. Chaykin (two bucks at Half-Price Books) - It always astonishes that, in its 90s heyday, RAYGUN never profiled Chakin. They bothered with Gaiman and Clowes (both of whom are models of narrative clarity) but never Chaykin's grand excesses, which meshed so well with RAYGUN's "unreadability first" design aesthetic. Nonetheless, narrative-wise (and a might facetiously), someone does something and it makes someone else angry and it all looks really, really, cool. Really.

I find myself both inexplicably and extraordinarily fond of the recent Chaykin thing where the Challengers Of The Unknown go after Ann Coulter and Fox News, but the New Avengers/Civil War navel-gazing hullabaloo he drew caused many a tear to be shed.
