Vampirella S/D, C/D?

Picked up a volume of the Crimson Chronicles compilation of the early years on a whim, and was surprised by just how good it is. Had expected pure exploitation, but it's really well written and fun. Gonzales' artwork is great. Any thoughts?

I've only read the Moore and Morrison issues. They are not very good.

Superheroine in skimpy costume SHOCKAH!

Consensus seems to be that the Archie Goodwin stories are the definitive classics, and I've netted almost all of them with the Crimson Chronicles II book that I picked up. This suggests it may be downhill from here, but I like the characters and Gonzales' art enough to pick up at least one more volume.

As for the Harris revival series, I WAS wondering about the Moore - Morrison stuff. I'll probably just stick with the Warren era, then.

Isn't it Millar and not Moore?

You're quite right. I think some guy named Moore may have been involved, but not the famous one.

Soukesian, Monday, 19 March 2007 18:39 (eighteen years ago)

You're quite wrong.

If my eyes are correct, that sez, "EXCLUSIVE interview with ALAN MOORE."

Leee, Monday, 19 March 2007 22:39 (eighteen years ago)

There is a retrospective collection credited to Miller/Morrison. If there's an Alan Moore story, I want to know about it.

I did read somewhere that Trina Robbins originally came up with the costume though . .

trusting that my eyes and the printing on my actual copy of that preview are correct, it also sez "PREVIEWS OF 3 STORIES BY... [BLERKS] ALAN MOORE [MORE BLERKS]"
and I used it because the actual issue with Moore's full (short) story in it doesn't have his name on the cover

I mean, what, are you guys arguing that it doesn't exist or just that I haven't read it?
I do confess I might have some random Ellis issue from a 50c bin too, so my first post might not be 100% accurate.

Apologies for my confusion. This derives from something I read in one of the handful of other Vampirella-related posts on ILC.

OK, so there is a short Alan Moore Vampirella story. Cool! What's it like?

I refer you to my original post!
