Wow, what a slight week. Buffy, Uncanny X-Men, Countdown and that's it. If it weren't for Buffy and my incredible love of having a routine, I'd probably just skip going to the shop.

I'm definitely going through 52 withdrawal. Not so much the comic, but the routine.

Wow. I expect to regret 2/3 of my comics purchases this week. I think I'm doing something wrong.

IRREDEEMABLE ANT-MAN and I think that's it for me.

I've already read I SHALL DESTROY ALL THE CIVILIZED PLANETS, though, and I recommend it very highly--totally insane 1939-1941 stories by Fletcher Hanks, who is very much like what would happen if Michael Kupperman wasn't kidding.

Not as quiet a week as some people, but not that busy either. IS COMICS ON HOLIDAYS?

Endangered Species starts at the end of the month in X-Men #200. Aside from a one-shot, it's just a back-up feature. It's just lead-up to the crossover thing, I'm a bit skeptical about it being something to be excited about. I mean, I'm skeptical about ANYTHING having to do with the X-Men being exciting any time in the foreseeable future.

It's a fantagraphix week for me; presuming everything on their site is out at stores: Friedman's "Fun Never Stops", the aforementioned "Destroy All Planets" and Hernandez gold with both new reprint books and the Ignatz LnR.

I deleted my myspace and facebook, and I'm this closing to shutting down my comics file. But if I don't, this is what I'll get (as well as whatever from last week).

Atom was working overtime on being c-RAZ-y! this week. It's like it was written specifically to hit the comics blog sweet spot, or something. It's the Clap Your Hands Say Yeah of comic books.

it also felt like an ad (in a good way) for the Showcase Presents the Atom. IT MIGHT WORK.

Just read last week's Detective (or was it from the week before? I'm only visiting the shop every second Wed or Thursday lately, and even then, only getting like 4 mags a visit), and yeah, Dini can bollocks up Countdown all he wants, as long as he continues to give us ART WEINER.
