And check out the hottness in the art!

Also (if you happen to scroll down & subject yourself to the Newsarama comments) please note the unadulterated greatness of the "eyes rolling" smiley.

I love how we always have these cringing disclaimers when we like to Newsarama.

I do not love the return of Youngblood.

Does this mean Superman will get his mullett back soon?

Huk-El (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 18:53 (twenty-one years ago)

No, but it does mean that we might see a new issue of Todd McFarlane's Spawn within the next 3 years.

is that a good thing?

Huk-El (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 19:05 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually, I don't know what the "return" of the Youngblood universe means, except for giving cheesed-off fanboys the chance to vent re: Liefeld's lesser qualities. (A fresh bone of contention - 22 pages for $3.99!!!)

CONFESSION: I was a completist PHREAK as a lad, and tried to keep up w/ every Image (& Valiant) (& DC) (& Marvel) comic as a teenager. The Bloodstrike series (part of the Youngblood family of splort) was one of the most pointlessly gruesome comix I put up with. Way too much Technicolor intestine action - it's as if the artist was weaned on Tom Savini SFX and Fangoria and nothing else.

Did Liefeld like just have a talk with his accountant or something? Between this and X-Force, it's like:

a) he just realized no one remembers him from that Levi's commercial anymore, ergo it will not get him laid;

or

b) he finally talked people into publishing him again. Cause I don't know if he's been sulking in his room or grounded.

is he Canadian too?

Huk-El (Horace Mann), Tuesday, 29 June 2004 19:19 (twenty-one years ago)
