Apparently Feral and Thornn got killed in the most recent issue of Wolverine. HUH?
― HI DERE, Sunday, 5 August 2007 15:10 (eighteen years ago)
The would be a lot easier for me to explain if I had any clue as to the identities of Feral and Thornn.
― Oilyrags, Sunday, 5 August 2007 16:09 (eighteen years ago)
And you claim to love comics.

Feral was the psycho cat-girl who was an original member of X-Force. Thornn was her part-time terrorist cat-girl sister. After the revelation that Feral murdered their mother, both were arrested and carted off to jail; apparently Jeph Loeb recently decided that every Marvel character with fur was descended from mystic wolf-people and brought them back to be cannon fodder in an incomprehensible story about how Wolverine and Sabertooth were destined to be enemies because, according to recently-discovered prophecy, there's always a dark-haired wolf guy and a blonde-haired wolf guy at each others' throats among the wolf people.
... Yeah.

whoops, left off the quote: "A powerful case can be made that this is the worst Wolverine storyline of all time."
This is a bold claim, but quite possibly accurate.

Please, can we declare a moratorium on mystic prophecies for Marvel characters? Please?
― Matt M., Sunday, 5 August 2007 23:43 (eighteen years ago)
Loeb needs to stop.

What if the blonde / dark prophecy actually refers to Tigra and Werewolf by Night? FITE!
― scampering alpaca, Monday, 6 August 2007 20:41 (eighteen years ago)
What about all of these wolf people who have NOTHING TO DO WITH WOLVES (Feral, Thornn, Sasquatch, SABERTOOTH)?
― HI DERE, Tuesday, 7 August 2007 14:04 (eighteen years ago)
"You know what would be better than the cat/dog antipathy underlying the Sabertooth/Wolverine relationship? If they were both DESCENDED FROM MAGIC WOLVES!"
"Isn't Sabertooth a cat?"
"...Details."
― HI DERE, Tuesday, 7 August 2007 14:06 (eighteen years ago)
Also not a wolf: Wolverine.

WOLFERINE, NEVER FORGET
― Jordan, Tuesday, 7 August 2007 18:31 (eighteen years ago)
So wait, is Sabertooth dead now?
― Jordan, Tuesday, 7 August 2007 18:32 (eighteen years ago)
Wolverines = Mustelids, which are definitely not wolves.
Taxonomy FTW.

And Squirrel Girl.
Squirrels are as closely related to wolves as cats and wolverines. And Sasquatcheseses. Sasquacthi. Sasaskatcacti.
Loeb!
