Are you buying it? Damn right I am, Mother Rucka!

More lesbians in lacy panties than Strangers in Paradise!

Dr. Superman, Tuesday, 21 August 2007 17:02 (eighteen years ago)

I thought it was more trenchcoats.

Oilyrags, Tuesday, 21 August 2007 17:08 (eighteen years ago)

I don't know, I never read SiP.

Dr. Superman, Tuesday, 21 August 2007 17:20 (eighteen years ago)

Somebody explain, pls.

The Crime Bible is a spinoff of 52, which will apparently feature The Question (Renee Montoya version) and Batwoman (Kathy Kane version) a pair a tough carpet munchers.

Oilyrags, Tuesday, 21 August 2007 18:39 (eighteen years ago)

Too bad there's already a comic called Dykes to Watch Out For.

Dr. Superman, Tuesday, 21 August 2007 22:11 (eighteen years ago)

Yes, a shame indeed that that title has been squandered on some flimsy nonsense when it could be applied to this no-doubt-masterpiece!

There's three lesbians in the DCU and they all know each other? COME ON. (though if there's only three of them, I guess they'd have to)

Dr. Superman, Tuesday, 21 August 2007 22:23 (eighteen years ago)

Actually, scratch that, there's no evidence that Batwoman knows Wonder Girl.

Dr. Superman, Tuesday, 21 August 2007 22:32 (eighteen years ago)

Isn't Triplicate Girl also a lesbian, or possibly three lesbians?

Oilyrags, Wednesday, 22 August 2007 01:09 (eighteen years ago)

That's news to Bouncing Boy! (pre-Zero Hour, at least)
Also, the DC previews up at N'rama reminded me that there are also sapphic ladies in the Secret Six.

Dr. Superman, Wednesday, 22 August 2007 02:02 (eighteen years ago)

See, I just went for the cheap 'hawt twinzorzz' joke. I had no idea my man Bounce was pimpin' like that.

Oilyrags, Wednesday, 22 August 2007 02:17 (eighteen years ago)

That would actually be a cool twist if one of the three was a lesbian, though.
And Wonder Girl is not a lesbian (nor is she Palestinian). The 3rd I mentioned earlier is actually Maggie Sawyer, who was originally a captain with the Metropolis Special Crimes Unit (a Byrne creation, I think), and later a lieutenant at Gotham Central.

Dr. Superman, Wednesday, 22 August 2007 02:24 (eighteen years ago)

It suddenly occurs to me that I'd like to read is a Batwoman /Question team-up where the way the 'ex-lovers/reluctant-crime-fighting partners' set-up is treated not as an angsty soapfest, but as an opportunity for screwball-comedy style fun-n-flirty patter. As written and directed by Preston Sturges, say.

Oilyrags, Wednesday, 22 August 2007 03:01 (eighteen years ago)

Now that would be fun: 'The Lady Question' sort of thing.

James Morrison, Thursday, 23 August 2007 00:10 (eighteen years ago)

I want a lesbian superhero "Hart to Hart" comic. Complete with theme song by their butler, Max.

James, Thursday, 23 August 2007 22:44 (eighteen years ago)

but...Johnny Hart is DEAD! (and had sucked for decades anyway)
