Who would you embarrass yourself, should you ever meet?

ALSO: Who have you embarrassed yourself before, should you be the type to meet these folks on occasion? (Not in the question title, for the sake of snappiness.)

ME:

JAIME HERNANDEZ
WALT SIMONSON
GRANT MORRISON
PETER MILLIGAN
and JACK CHICK (obviously)
and probably a few others I can't think of at the moment.

How about you? GO NOW!

That should be "Whom would you embarrass yourself before, should you ever meet?"

God, I'm an idiot.

Jaime Hernandez is a swell guy, I'm sure you'd be okay there. I did a phone interview with him once -- he's very gregarious and un-shy for somebody in the comics biz.

On the other hand, I once interviewed Dave Sim by fax, and although I've seen him at a lot of Toronto comic events, I've always been too embarrassed to approach him.

I think if I met Grant Morrison, I'd have to tell him about winning a WH Smith young fiction prize in 1990 by plagiarising Animal Man 26.

Take a look at LANARK by Alasdair Gray to see where Morrison took his inspiration for ANIMAL MAN 26.

Before whom would you embarrass yourself

I've already embarrassed myself before:
Frank Miller - Brief douchey handshake (I was the douche, which puts things into perspective) with the man telling him that DKR was solely responsible for getting me into comics.

BKVaughan - Numerous occasions when I tried to play it "cool."

I should just never meet people creators.

My friend Becca (who may or may not be in some way associated with Robert Rodriguez - I've no interest in name dropping (and yet I just did!)) once recounted to me a highly amusing LOST IN TRANSLATION-ish anecdote set in a European hotel wherein she was the Sofia Coppola-analogue and Frank Miller played the Bill Murray role. Fun stuff.

I might embarrass myself in front of 3layn3 W3chsler-Ch4put R1ggs if I ever meet her but not for the reasons intended by this thread.

Wait! I meant 25. The one with the monkey, not the one with Grant.

Mark Gruenwald, but mostly because I'd be freaking out over either his resurrection or my death.
