Chuck Dixon writing Robin, Dan Jurgens drawing everything, Peter Milligan writing DCU--did it just turn into 15 yrs ago?

DC is on a serious retro kick -- also, Tom Peyer is coming out of the woodwork for The Flash, and Jim Shooter is writing the Legion. Isn't Marv Wolfman doing something too?

Oddly, my hair is probably the longest it's been since that year too. And for some reason I've been humming "Hot Pants Explosion".
Hourman, was it any good?

Yeah, Wolfman is doing a Raven miniseries of all things.

Hourman, which I discovered late last year, was wonderful. It reminded me of a more mainstream SHADE, THE CHANGING MAN - a very character-based series centered around an uncertain protagonist (and pals) whose reality is wholly unstable. I wish I'd discovered it when I was a teen - a favorite moment off the top of my head: the conclusion to issue 13, wherein Hourman asks his friends "Do you think I'd make a good superhero?"

Or maybe it's 1986?

JJ: This really is the perfect time for the return of Ambush Bug. We have had so many big events over the past few years; who better to give us a unique overview of them all than Ambush Bug?
:(

See how much lightly we take ourselves with an editorially-mandated parody of our biggest-selling comics that no one gives a shit about anymore!

tho, I admit I still cling to the hope that new Ambush Bug will be sufficiently absurd and obtuse and kick ass anyhow

oh yeah, will buy - I just won't get any of the jokes, whether they're good or shit

Lovely Giffen art, though...
The Heckler, still a great lost series.
