It's up now: here.

Douglas, Monday, 17 March 2008 19:41 (seventeen years ago)

For me:

THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD #11: It's so nice when people pull together as a team!
SUPERMAN/BATMAN ANNUAL #2: Because the first annual, also written by Joe Kelly, was one of the funniest comics I've read in a long time.
CAPTAIN AMERICA #36--Brubaker!
INCREDIBLE HERCULES #115--Labors!
DUNGEON MONSTRES TP--At some point I'm gonna sit down and give the "Dungeon" books the attention people keep telling me they deserve...

Douglas, Monday, 17 March 2008 19:52 (seventeen years ago)

Brave and the Bold, Checkmate, Flash, The Programme, Amazing Spider-Man, Captain America, Immortal Iron Fist, Incredible Hercules, The Order...

Garrett Martin, Monday, 17 March 2008 20:06 (seventeen years ago)

Fables

Jordan, Monday, 17 March 2008 20:08 (seventeen years ago)

maybe Super vs. Man vs Bat vs Man

Jordan, Monday, 17 March 2008 20:21 (seventeen years ago)

it's a good thing the comic shop is at my bus transfer, otherwise I'd never bother showing up for just B&B and Cap'n A (actually, of all the titles I get, those are two that I probably would go out of my way to pick up even if they were my entire haul for the week).

Dr. Superman, Monday, 17 March 2008 20:23 (seventeen years ago)

Grendel, Checkmate, Captain Buckmerica, Iron Fist

Am I really the only Matt Wagner fandude here?

Oilyrags, Monday, 17 March 2008 21:11 (seventeen years ago)

EX MACHINA #35
FABLES #71
SWORD #6
CAPTAIN AMERICA #36
INCREDIBLE HERCULES #115
THOR #7

I've got a question. Excepting Countdown (which I don't want to bother with) which DC Comics should I be reading to prepare for Final Crisis? I'm already reading Action Comics, Gail's WW, and both Dini's Detective and Batmorrison. Anything else fairly decent that will help with DCU continuity?

Mordy, Monday, 17 March 2008 21:19 (seventeen years ago)

I think Death of the New Gods will be important, but probably not as important as Seven Soldiers!

Dr. Superman, Monday, 17 March 2008 21:40 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah, apparently Seven Soldiers is an important lead-in, esp. Mr. Miracle. And as I understand it, DC Universe Zero will be a useful thing, plus it's 50 cents. I think the Alpha Lanterns from recent issues of Green Lantern are supposed to be important, but I haven't read those yet.

Also involved: Libra (whose relevant stories will be reprinted in a DC Universe special in May) and Mongul (just go read "For the Man Who Has Everything").

Douglas, Monday, 17 March 2008 23:23 (seventeen years ago)

SUPERMAN BATMAN ANNUAL #2
JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #19 - In this issue, Speedy calls up for take-out and watches re-runs with the Martian Manhunter and Black Lightning.

I'll probably get these eventually...

PROGRAMME #9 (OF 12)
CATWOMAN #77

"Am I really the only Matt Wagner fandude here?"

I was a huge fan of him in the 80s. I was not as blown away by the first 15 issues of Grendel or Mage as I was as a teenager. That being said, I still haven't tracked down to re-read that crazy Grendel storyline when he becomes pope. That was about the best one of the original series.

Those two Batman mini-series Matt Wagner did about Hugo Strange and the vampires were both really great.

I'd like to re-read his Demon mini-series, as I remember that one being pretty good.

Mordy, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 03:21 (seventeen years ago)

ORDER #9 - Ordering!
IMMORTAL IRON FIST #13 - Fighting!
FLASH #238 - Flashing!

Those are all actions I can relate to.

R Baez, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 19:24 (seventeen years ago)

I'm glad you said "Fighting" not "Fisting."

Oilyrags, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 19:28 (seventeen years ago)

I'm willing to admit my shame at having made that joke all too many months ago.

R Baez, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 19:30 (seventeen years ago)

Or I could have gone the "cleverly mundane" route and said "Ironing!" Which I also do on a regular basis.

R Baez, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 19:31 (seventeen years ago)

CAN'T STOP POSTING!!! part three:

That Ennis/Chaykin MAX thing I'm also thinking about getting.

R Baez, Tuesday, 18 March 2008 19:33 (seventeen years ago)

I'd get STRANGEWAYS: MURDER MOON, but I've got a garage full of them currently. Nevermind that they were supposed to ship *next* week.

As it stands, SANDMAN MYSTERY THEATRE v.6 looks good. I've tried to cut back on my pamphlet consumption, much to Dan Didio's consternation.

Matt M., Wednesday, 19 March 2008 02:43 (seventeen years ago)

YES I WILL GET THAT. I bought Douglas's book (actually I bought both of his books), I can buy your comic!

Dr. Superman, Wednesday, 19 March 2008 04:42 (seventeen years ago)

Iron Fist, The Programme, The Sword and probably anything else that takes my fancy as I walk into local comic shop. Being an impulse buyer is a total pain in the backside.

Stone Monkey, Wednesday, 19 March 2008 11:39 (seventeen years ago)

Well, given the pre-order numbers I've seen, Doc, you're not likely to see a copy on the rack unless you ordered one ahead of time. If you're still up for it, ask for JAN083670 out of Diamond's catalog.

But who knows, you might get lucky. And you might even get the book, too...

Matt M., Wednesday, 19 March 2008 15:12 (seventeen years ago)

SMT with Davis and Pleece. Man, good times, good times.

Oilyrags, Wednesday, 19 March 2008 15:16 (seventeen years ago)

Yeah, it might be a while, but I'll ask for it. I ask for lotsa odd stuff (not really, but a few not so likely to be in stock things) and my LCS is pretty, pretty, pretty good about getting them in for me.

Dr. Superman, Wednesday, 19 March 2008 17:49 (seventeen years ago)

(and that's why you should make a stink AHEAD OF TIME)

Dr. Superman, Wednesday, 19 March 2008 17:50 (seventeen years ago)

I hate pre-ordering. I feel dirty when I ask people to do it. Dirty, dirty, dirty.
